Water Fluoridation: Enough is Enough

The dangers of fluoride, what they are, and the evidence to prove it. Educate yourself on fluoride, people. Here's your chance.

The story of fluoride began back in 1901, where over 90% of children had teeth that were stained brown or splotched with coloring and mottling of tooth enamel. The breakthrough came in 1909, when it was found that the secondary teeth of these children were more resistant to decay. After 30 years of study and searching, the answer was found: the cause of the discoloring of teeth was caused by high levels of fluoride in the water.

These curious findings led to extensive dental research into the effect of fluoride on tooth enamel and from there came a way to measure fluoride levels in water with an accuracy of 0.1 PPM (parts per million). Thus, it was declared that fluoride levels up to 1.0 PPM in drinking water did not cause dental fluorosis and most people only had mild symptoms in a small group of people.

Since then, fluoride had begun being added to drinking water in the US and eventually, the world, but now, especially in Europe, it is illegal in many areas to add fluoride to water and a growing number of countries and even states are stopping this practice. So, if it's so good for teeth, why stop doing it?

The thing most people don't know about fluoride is not a single test or study was done on the effects of fluoride when it was consumed systemically and that, in fact, consuming it in water had absolutely no effect on teeth at all, but instead caused severe health issues inside the body.

The Proof

Exhibit A

http://naturaldentistry.us/1378/the-dangers-of-fluoride/

In this article from the Center for Natural Dentistry, it is clearly stated that not only does fluoride not have an FDA approval (even though it is administered freely in water and many other forms), but also, considering that fluoride is in everything from food to orange juice, the estimated amount of fluoride we ingest daily is 300% more than the "recommended daily amount" even though the body has no nutritional need for fluoride at all.

It goes on to say that chemicals used for fluoridation are low purity and rather, are byproducts of aluminum and fertilizer manufacturing and contain high amounts of heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and chromium (the bad kind), all proven to be carcinogens. Read the article to find out more.

Exhibit B

http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/fluoride-and-your-thyroid/#

This article, written by an ordinary citizen with experience in the matter through extensive personal research, has found that fluoride causes thyroid disorders, specifically, hypothyroidism. A quote from Dr Joseph Mercola, a researcher in this field, is included at the beginning of the article.

“Fluorine is an element. It is a gas, never occurring in its free state. In microscopic amounts complexed with other minerals, it is often listed as a trace mineral, a nutrient for human nutrition. This has nothing to do with “fluoride or fluoridation.” Yet the fluoride added to 90% of drinking water is hydrofluoric acid, which is a compound of fluorine that is a chemical byproduct of aluminum, steel, cement, phosphate, and nuclear weapons manufacturing.

Such fluoride is manmade. In this form, fluoride has no nutrient value whatsoever. It is one of the most caustic of industrial chemicals. Fluoride is the active toxin in rat poisons and cockroach powder. Hydrofluoric acid is used to refine high octane gasoline, to make fluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons for freezers and air conditioners, (think “FREON”) and to manufacture computer screens, fluorescent light bulbs, semiconductors, plastics, herbicides, — and toothpaste. It also has the ability to burn flesh to the bone, destroy eyes, and sear lungs so that victims drown in their own body fluid.

Once in the body, fluoride is a destroyer of human enzymes. It does this by changing their shapes. You’ll remember from the Enzymes chapter that in human biochemistry, thousands of enzymes are necessary for various essential cell reactions that take place every second we’re alive. (Howell) Without enzymes, we’d die instantaneously. Enzymes trigger specific reactions in the body. One way they do this is by having the exact shape necessary, like a key in a lock.

Fluoride Changes The Shape Of The Enzymes So That They No Longer Fit. Since enzymes are proteins, once they’ve been changed, they’re now foreign-looking. The body now treats them as invaders, even though they’re part of that body. This is known as an autoimmune situation – the body attacks itself. Another way to look at it: enzymes are long-chain proteins held in certain shapes. Hydrogen bonds are the Velcro strips that hold the enzyme in a certain shape. Fluoride comes along and hydrolyzes the enzyme: cuts the Velcro strips away. The shape collapses. No more enzyme; now just a foreign protein.”

Read the article to read the personal story of the writer.

Exhibit C

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/21263.php

A compilation of studies showing that fluoridation does more to worsen teeth than it does to help them and that with fluoride, less is better, none is best.

Exhibit D

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/01/03/fluoride-show-no-benefits.aspx

An article from Dr. Mercola himself, showing that fluoride recommendations now defy rational logic and how even promoters or fluoridation now admit that fluoride's predominant action is on the surface of the tooth, not from inside the body and has a link to over 100 published studies showing fluoride's harm to the brain plus 25 more studies directly linking it to lower IQ in children.

Exhibit E

http://www.mbschachter.com/dangers_of_fluoride_and_fluorida.htm

A long, but interesting read about the dangers of ingesting fluoride. Included are more information on dental fluorosis (NOT reversible or fixable, btw), evidence that it causes genetic damage, osteoperosis, calcification of soft tissues (arthritis), damages the immune system and is linked to at least one type of rare bone cancer. There are also studies done showing that there is no difference in tooth decay between fluoridated and non-fluoridated areas, none. It's a good read, but a long one.

Exhibit F

http://www.tldp.com/issue/177/FluorideConnection.html

An article, written by a MD, cited a study done decades ago at the University or Oregon proving that fluoride penetrated the placental barrier in animals and therefore, caused fertility problems. In the 46 years (at the time of this article) of water fluoridation, not a single study was done on the effect of fluoride on developing fetuses. He then did studies of his own that proved that the effects on animals also fit with humans. It also contains more evidence that fluoride causes lower IQ in children by interfering with brain development in developing fetuses and young children which means fluoride causes neurological damage. Another long read, but worth being informed.

Exhibit G, H

http://www.theessentialconnection.net/pdfs/Infertility-Connection.pdf

A PDF showing more evidence of fluoride being linked with fertility problems in humans and:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8169995

Another abstract of a study showing fertility being affected by fluoride.

Exhibit I

http://naturalsociety.com/breaking-fluoride-linked-to-1-cause-of-death-in-new-research/

More studies cited (2012 article) linking fluoride to the #1 cause of death in new research and that it causes cardiovascular disease. There is also yet more evidence showing that it is linked to lower IQ in children and infertility. Read this whole article and you'll see just how little the government cares about us and that it does nothing but hurt us and does not prevent cavities. Much to read in this article.

Exhibit J

http://thyroid.about.com/cs/toxicchemicalsan/a/flouride.htm

Citing studies done showing that fluoride damages the thyroid and causes thyroid disease. It actually shows on page two of the article that fluoride was once used as an effective treatment for hyperthyroidism which would seem to indicate that man cases of hypothyroidism are symptoms of fluoride poisoning. Much more in this three page article as well.

Exhibit K

http://www.nofluoride.com/scientific_studies.cfm

Citing numerous studies and expert opinions saying and showing that fluoride has no benefit whatsoever to the human body and is nothing but toxic waste.

The American Dental Association continues to state fluoride is responsible for reducing cavities. The National Institute of Dental Health  produced the largest and most comprehensive study on over 39,000 school children aged 5 -17 years. The study showed no significant differences in cavities in fluoridated vs. non-fluoridated or partially fluoridated communities. This study was never refuted by the ADA. (The ADA is the American Dental Association!)

In conclusion, I can add bits of info about fluoride that I do know and add a bit of my personal observations. Fluoride, on a chemical level, is capable of sustaining only one bond. So, imagine a chain link fence and everytime you add a fluoride atom to it, one of those links are broken. Keep adding fluoride and you have a fence that is so weak, it can barely even hold itself up. This is what it does to teeth and it's also what it does to bones which is why it is heavily linked to osteoperosis. This is why it causes so much irrevesible tooth damage. It breaks the chain and while fluoride is harder than calcium, it actually softens teeth and bones while hardening (calcifying) connective tissue which is, essentially, causing arthritis. Fluoride is a slow killer that accumulates in tissues, ALL tissues and ALL organs.

It interferes with thyroid function by attaching itself to iodine receptors, which the thyroid uses to make it's hormones and the fluoride just sits there. Iodine displaces fluoride and vise versa. Whichever there is more of, wins. (This also applies to chlorine and bromine, the latter of which is readily added to bread. All four of these compete in the body and only one is good. This is part of the reason iodine was added to salt, but salt is bad for you, so it's not a good source of iodine anyway) Goiter (enlarging of the thyroid) is caused because the thyroid is attempting to increase it's surface area to get to more iodine. Be careful when taking iodine supplements if you so choose, though. Do that research before you even consider it as you should always do. Always try to drink non-fluoridated water. The only way to do this is to either buy it that way (most bottled water contains fluoride unless it says it doesn't) or by using a reverse-osmosis filter, which are expensive. The water dispenser outside of Weis Markets has FLUORIDE FREE water, reverse osmosis filtering and any other kind of filtering and refills of one gallon jugs are only 35 cents! Look into using that water exclusively for drinking, you will find it is delicious, more so than any bottled water you've ever had in your life because it's so clean.

In closing, think about this. Go and look at your bottle of fluoride toothpaste. Notice the poison control warning for people who swallow it? Know why that's there? It's because fluoride is toxic poison and ingestion of too much is a cause for immediate medical treatment. It is a POISON, it says right on the label, yet we allow it in our drinking water? Concentrations of fluoride in toothpaste are higher than in water and even higher in mouthwash. Personally, I use "Epic" toothpaste which is only available online which contains Xylitol which is PROVEN to prevent cavities and provide other health benefits inside the body. Xylitol is also a safe artificial sweetener as opposed to Aspartame or other bad stuff.

Not only that, but fluoride absorbs easily through the skin, so you are absorbing more fluoride when you shower or take a bath. You also cook your food in fluoride. So, explain to me how showering and cooking food in fluoride (making it more dangerous) is helping my teeth? It doesn't, and there is no evidence that it does anyway. It is just a cheap way to get rid of toxic waste which we PAY them to feed to us.

It's in the water, it's in the food, the orange juice, toothpaste, mouthwash and just about everything we eat and drink and that, my friends, is evidence that we are being overdosed on this poison.. why? Because it's a cheaper way to dispose of toxic waste and a way to make money off of us in the process.

Isn't it time to end water fluoridation? I think so, the sooner, the better. Maryland is the most fluoridated state in the country, it's time to stop this madness. End water fluoridation NOW!

I totally agree. And if decision makers need more proof, here is a study out of Harvard University published this week linking fluoride to lower IQ.
The study was published in the July 20th online edition of Environmental Health Perspectives, a peer-reviewed journal published by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Here is the link to the article published in their July 20th issue: http://ehp03.niehs.nih.gov/article/fetchArticle.action;jsessionid=5C98A897B69464FD44D98698EE9FC4A1?articleURI=info%3Adoi%2F10.1289%2Fehp.1104912#Ahead%20of%20Print%20(AOP) You can also download a PDF of the entire study: http://ehp03.niehs.nih.gov/article/fetchObjectAttachment.action;jsessionid=9E354074742B64C1E9C32AA07FCBDDC4?uri=info%3Adoi%2F10.1289%2Fehp.1104912&representation=PDF This is a press release which has appeared in multiple publications: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/07/24/idUS127920+24-Jul-2012+PRN20120724 Harvard University also published a feature article about the study in their School of Public Health newsletter: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/features/features/fluoride-childrens-health-grandjean-choi.html?fb_action_ids=10151001058576647&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%2210151001058576647%22%3A10150998752863692%7D&action_type_map=%7B%2210151001058576647%22%3A%22og.recommends%22%7D&action_ref_map=[]

LOL Somehow, I knew I'd get a comment like that. When I'm passionate about something, I love to write. Of course, I know I had to specifically say that since it's not already obvious. lol
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 05:10 pm
Great post, Mrossi. We've known this stuff for a long time, yet the government insists on allowing this to continue. Tap water in this state is awful. Whenever people see someone with discolored or pitted teeth, the first thing people think is that they don't brush their teeth or take care of them. This isn't the case (unless you're a long time smoker, of course, with the yellowing), it's a case of fluoride poisoning. If it's doing that to teeth, it's also doing it to bones, kind of a reflection of what it's doing to you inside. I don't really think many people know just how dangerous fluoride is which is why I did this article: to raise awareness. Fluoridation needs to stop. We are being medicated through the water supply without any consideration being taken in for dosages or an individual's sensitivity to these toxic chemicals. That's not even including the prescription drugs in our water, which reverse osmosis also removes.
I hope the Harvard study really gets people's attention along with this article. Awesome find on that Harvard study published THIS WEEK. It's kind of scary to think that many of the diseases people face, especially at older ages and as unborn and young children is being caused by fluoride being added to the water is staggering. Follow the money, yet again, and then the hospital bills we pay later to treat these conditions. The FDA are nothing but a bunch of drug dealers on the comeback. Cause disease, then sell you drugs to "treat" them.
Mrossi July 27, 2012 at 06:06 pm
With more people like you writing and getting the information out there, I think it is just a matter of time before water fluoridation is a thing of the past. The momentum of science is on the side of taking this OUT of our water.
The truth is, fluoride is more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than arsenic. Really? Would we put lead in our water if someone said it helped our teeth? The whole concept is ridiculous. I just started researching this issue further this year. When I realized fluoride could be the cause of my hypothyroidism, I stopped drinking tap water. After two months, my doctor LOWERED my thyroid medication. I then switched to a fluoride-free toothpaste and tried to eliminate other sources of fluoride. After another 2 months, my doctor lowered my thyroid medication a second time. My thyroid medication has NEVER been lowered in the over 10 years since I was diagnosed. Attempting to avoid fluoride was the only change I made. The thyroid medication Synthroid is the 3rd most commonly-prescribed medication in the US. The problem is, with fluoride added to our water and an ingredient in some pesticides, it is almost impossible to avoid. It is in almost every non-organic (and many organic) things we eat and drink. We are being exposed to fluoride from all angles. We cannot get fluoride out of our food supply without stopping water fluoridation everywhere. Thank you for taking the time to write this article.
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 06:24 pm
I am sorry to hear about your hypothyroidism, but I am glad that curtailing your exposure is helping. You're right, the only way to really avoid fluoride (in your home) is to have a reverse osmosis filter installed for your home's water supply. Then, at least you aren't showering in it. The only way to truly avoid it, as you said, is to just remove it from the water period.
I would suggest trying an Iodine supplement. I use Kelp because it's low dose (probably too low, but I am leary of buying things off the net with credit cards and such). Look into a product called "Lugols Iodine". It's in liquid form administered by a dropper, but you HAVE to be careful with iodine supplements. Iodine will remove heavy metals and MANY toxic chemicals from your body. Taking too much all at once, especially your first time, will cause a ton of toxic chemicals to be released into your bloodstream all at once which will make you feel like you're sick. It will still get rid of them, but probably not the best way to go about it. You HAVE to be careful and start out with a VERY low dose and work your way up. Iodine will remove fluoride, chloride, bromide, mercury, lead, arsenic, formaldehyde and just about any nasty you can think of from your body. It's important to start LOW, but Lugols is a popular iodine supplement and it does work. Look into it, yeah? The only thing we can do now is make it easier for our bodies to get rid of all this crap so long as they will keep adding in water.

" We are being exposed to fluoride from all angles. We cannot get fluoride out of our food supply without stopping water fluoridation everywhere.
Thank you for taking the time to write this article." yes thank you, this is a great start to the complete elimination of fluoride in our foods,,,,,,,,,, for now ee can do the ebst we can to get educated ( thanks to this article) and for now minimize the ingestion of this "poison" now I know what to avoid ( as far as I am capable)
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 06:36 pm
That's fine, you can ignore all the evidence posted in this thread on that merit if you want. That's your choice. :) I have been in contact with Emily and am working on fixing that "anonymous" problem.
Doesn't take much for you to ignore scientific data though, does it? Tsk, tsk.
Audrey B July 27, 2012 at 06:41 pm
Thank you for writing this article, this is something most people aren't aware of—and I worry about my children drinking our water, so scary. Hopefully we'll start to see some change!
Mrossi July 27, 2012 at 06:46 pm
Thank you for the info.
And to quote Margaret Mead: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citzens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 07:37 pm
The first step I would take is using the reverse osmosis water unit outside of Weis Market. It's built into the wall outside to the left of the windows that look into the store. It fills three sizes of bottles, all of which you can purchase there. You can even use an empty, washed out one gallon jug of milk and fill it for 35 cents. It is the healthiest water you can drink, so I would start there. :) I always have two gallons of it in my fridge and refill immediately when one empties. That's a good place to start.
The only real way to remove all this crap from your body is with iodine, but as I said above, you have to be VERY careful with it. It's better to start low and go up than it is to take too much and come down. Always respect what you are taking and do your research, always do your own research especially when it comes to things like this. Lugols is only available online, but there's plenty of information about it to find.

http://www.naturalnews.com/031892_fluoride_corrosive.html
This is an article from last year where a fluoride spill at a water treatment plant actually ate holes into concrete and required hazmat teams with gas masks and protective gear to clean up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ7P1vkIpCk There is the news story on it along with some comments at the end (probably made prior to this incident) warning of how toxic this chemical is. What if this kind of leak were to happen on a residential street? We put this stuff in our water, remember. We drink it and shower in it. Just think about that. People should be up in arms about this especially here in Baltimore County. I want this article to get people mad and cause some hell to be raised. http://www.fluoridealert.org/leaks-spills.htm Here is a link showing all such spills since 1972 and any effect they had on people affected by it. C'mon people, wake up! It's time to get mad about this!
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 10:30 pm
Another thing I want to add is that in some of these comments, there is concern or fear being expressed by some people over this. I think we should find a way to turn simple concern and certainly fear, or being scared, into anger. Not the kind of anger where you hurt people, but the kind that makes you tell people. Direct them to this thread, express how angry you are that this is being allowed and spread the word. This is the spread of awareness. Don't get scared, get mad, get active in talking to others about it. Spread the word, get more people informed and I think most people, especially with family or those who care about their health will be VERY upset about all of this. Fear just causes silence, IMO. I understand the fear because this situation is a scary one when you really sit down and think about what's going on here, but awareness is spread through being outraged and expressing it to others, informing them. This thread has just about everything you need to know about why this situation has to change. Being proactive is as simple as spreading the word. :) As has already been said, most people don't have the slightest idea of how dangerous fluoride is, but now that more people are aware, let's spread that awareness! If enough people get behind it, it will start to make noise and put pressure on local government to do something about it like, I don't know, stop doing it! If the people don't care, they won't either. They'll get away with as much as we let them.
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 10:52 pm
http://www.naturalnews.com/036182_CDC_fluoride_infants.html
Another interesting article about how the CDC admits that fluoridated water serves no benefits to infants, but the ADA refused to inform parents because it would cast doubt on water fluoridation. They then, suddenly, changed their position and started recommending that parents use fluoridated water on their infants and that there was no problems. The ADA have a special interest in the continuation of fluoridation in the face of growing mountain of evidence against it. So, why? Why does everyone but the ADA and dentists in general have any clue about the truth of fluoride or, if they do, they ignore it? Is the ADA in someone's pocket? Wouldn't surprise me. "Fluorosis is an increasingly common developmental disturbance that affects infants. However, the reputation of water fluoridation has been deemed more important than the health of infants." That is the closing sentence of thee article. The reputation of water fluoridation is more important than the health of infants. Also included are unborn babies, teens and adults apparently too. See what I'm trying to show you? They don't CARE about us because WE don't seem to care about us and just think "Well, someone is looking out for us, they'll do something." No, it's up to us to spread awareness and get outraged, stand up and decide we're not going to take this crap anymore! Make noise! Spread awareness! That's the point of me doing this article.
Heather July 27, 2012 at 11:43 pm
Do both Weis markets in perry hall have the filtered water? I have also seen a machine inside of the safeway. Is that water the same as the water at Weis?
Mike Fisher July 27, 2012 at 11:46 pm
That, I cannot answer for you as I do not shop at Safeway. I only know for sure that the one at Weis has the water I'm talking about. The Weis I'm talking about is the one off of Seven Courts Drive. To be honest, I'm not even sure where the other one is in Perry Hall or that there even was another one. I can only speak of the one on the corner of Seven Courts and Joppa Road.

http://www.naturalnews.com/033828_water_fluoridation_petition.html
A petition started last year that has already ended, but got enough signatures to be valid and got a response from the government. The petition and response can be found here: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/prohibit-all-federal-agencies-promoting-endorsing-or-funding-fluoridation-public-drinking-water/SRYL4NwC Personally, I think the petition was underwhelming in it's presentation and the response from the government was unsatisfactory. Perhaps a new petition should be started, we need to keep at these people. Maybe this thread should be used as the opening for a petition. I will start a new one, but I need you guys to help spread the word and get people to read this thread, then go and sign their names to the petition. The old one needed 5,000 and got a little over 6,000, but all the government talks about is a bunch of BS. The new study from Harvard will be included in mine. I will contact the creator of the original petition last year that got a response and try to get them to promote my new petition on their website as well. They generated over 6,000 signatories, but I want you guys to have the time to spread more awareness and bring people to the patch even if just to read this article (I know it's long, but worth reading!) and get them as well as you guys to sign it once I start it. Hopefully, a new petition will be even more successful, but it needs people like you to help!
Mike Fisher July 28, 2012 at 03:02 pm
I will probably exchange some emails with that naturalnews website and even direct them to this blog and talk with them about another petition, maybe one that is more successful containing more evidence and emotion than the first. We don't want REDUCTION in fluoride amounts, we want ELIMINATION. I really have a head of steam with this right now and I do every time I get into this topic. I really want to make a difference and I need as many people behind me as possible. Mrossi, that Harvard study will help a great deal! Thanks again for finding it and so quickly at that. I will contact naturalnews.com and start talking with them about a new petition sometime today, I have some things to do, but I'll work it in somewhere. :) Right now, I'm counting on you guys to get as many people as you can to at least take 10-15 minutes out of their day to read this blog and educate themselves on this topic because people need to know this stuff about the water they are drinking and we need to do anything we can to stop it.
Mike Fisher July 28, 2012 at 06:31 pm
I sent them a long email about this, so now just awaiting a response. Please, concerned citizens of Baltimore County, get behind me on this one. This is how we organize! We get behind one another and fight for a common goal. For us to abolish water fluoridation, we need all of you to support and get behind this cause to even have a chance.
Hopefully, naturalnews.com will want to do this. If not, I suppose I will have to start a petition on my own. It would be great to have the support of a website like that one, though. We will see what kind of reply I get. Wish me luck and keep that awareness going, for the sake of all of us and not only our health, but the health of our children, unborn and future youth of this state and country.
jwillie6 August 1, 2012 at 07:00 pm
Wow! What a great article by Mr. Fisher on the reasons we need to reject the outdated practice of fluordidation. The main reason we are told to add it is because it helps the teeth of poor children. It is certainly ironic that those poor and minority children are damaged more than any others. Read the following comments.
“Fluoridation is a civil rights violation,” says national Hispanic and Black leaders. Because poor and minority children are harmed by comsuming fluoride much more than other children, the Hispanic commuity and many Black leaders have spoken out to oppose fluoridation. This includes Andrew Young, former UN Ambassor, Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King, and many national religious leaders. They are demanding a national hearing to explain why the Black community has been lied to by those pushing this outdated practice. “The Hispanic community is no longer going to be silent on this issue,” says Henry Rodriguez, LULAC’s Texas civil rights chairman. “This is about forcing us to be medicated through our drinking water without our consent or full disclosure of the risks.”

A video with information from various sources pertaining to fluoride, mercury and vaccines and the dangers associated with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7d6zXxN3Z4 Fluoride, Aspartame (artificial sweetener, think diet soda) and Agenda 21 Both worth watching. There is a dark side to this world that unfortunately, many people are completely oblivious to. A mass awakening is needed, some how, some way.
Audrey B August 5, 2012 at 02:45 pm
Oh my... artificial sweeteners... they make me sick (literally). People think sugar is so bad (not that it isn't) but it makes me cringe to see people downing diet stuff. And now these days it's in everything, you really have to be careful - things will say "no sugar added," a red flag that there's sucralose or other sweetener is in there. Maybe that should be your next article ;-)
Mike Fisher August 5, 2012 at 02:48 pm
Sugar is actually better for you than artificial sweeteners. There are only two exceptions; Stevia and Xylitol, but of course they are not available in stores. Get them online and research them, they are not only safe, but actually have some health benefits inside the body. Xylitol is great in toothpaste, as well. Look into a brand called "Epic", they sell toothpaste, mints, gum, mouthwash and some other things, all proven to prevent cavities. My teeth have never been in better condition since I switched to Epic from fluoride toothpaste.
Tim August 5, 2012 at 03:05 pm
not enough money in the world, when the money existing is committed to brainwashing the ignorant and legitimately uneducated.
it's depressing sometimes.
Mike Fisher August 5, 2012 at 03:48 pm
People are awakening, slowly, because they just don't have any idea of any of the stuff that's really going on, all the agendas. Give the public products that will harm their bodies and claim they are safe, release drugs to the public they know will cause death and side effects needing more medication, cause disease, then come to the rescue with their "medicines" all the while our water supply is poisoned, our food supply is poisoned and to some extent, even the air is poisoned. It all comes back around to money, always does. We are nothing but dollar signs to them. The more awareness that is spread, the faster things can potentially change. Fluoride poisoning has people so dumbed down as well as the aspartame and everything else. The first minute of that first video sums it all up perfectly. I agree, though, it is depressing, but it also angers me why we put up with this crap. It's like we don't have the will to fight back and don't even know that any fighting back is needed. This world is full of people who will believe anything they are told without questioning a thing because they couldn't imagine any of this stuff happening and I kind of see their point, but reality is reality and it's time to face it and deal with it as a society, a country. We can pull together for things like 9/11, which many also believe without question (official story), but when it comes to other things, we just take it up the rear or are oblivious. Wake up! Do what you can to wake them up.

... but even that can get frustrating when you get responses like being laughed at or called a kook or crazy conspiracy nut or things of that nature. People like that piss me off. It's like, "well how much independent research have you done? None? Ok, then it's safe to say you don't know what I know and the joke is on you." God, people frustrate me to no end sometimes.

I went and watched it after seeing your posts and it's a wealth of information from many people, though a little on the boring side if you're really not into the topic. I am interested, so I'm glad you brought it to my attention. Thanks. :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh-oeu2L8yM There for anyone really interested. It's a very long video, but worth it if you are interested in getting the truth about fluoride.

There is a lot of good information in there. I would say the highlights are the first 33 minutes (Paul Connett), then from 1:44:30 (Daniel Stockin) to the end, all the best information in the documentary. It skips over some parts where professors are talking about it and a dentist who changed his view on fluoride and why, but I got the most out of those parts. That's more like movie length. Paul Connett and Daniel Stockin give the most wealth of information on the topic, IMO, but the ones after Stockin are good too.

This place is awesome. Used it a lot when my kid was 2-3. If I had another, I'd not hesitate to takeRead More him here. Then again, I watched my kid like a hawk - and you know, actually played WITH him - while we were there. As a result, my kid never came close to being injured by another unruly kid. Just saying.

My sister-in-law actually played with my nephew too Tim. Unlike EVERY OTHER single parent that wasRead More there. However, you can't tie your child to you. They came there to play. Bullies move very quick. When my nephew fell and was visibily scared, not a single parent except for one even noticed. Nobody from the library was in site. You are right that if parents were required to pay attention to their children then there would not be an opportunities for bullies because the parents of those bullies would be watching them also. When the group came from a religious school in Pikesville this is exactly what happened. All the parents stayed with their kids. All other parents, with little exception stayed in a waiting room talking amongst themselves paying little attention to their children. My nephew has been to all kinds of playgrounds and never been attacked by older kids before. Next time, if my nephew is attacked by an older child I will urge my brother to call the police and press charges against the parent. However, irreponsible Storyville need not worry -- won't be back there. Just wish our tax dollars weren't supporting this.

Let me put this in more practical terms. 1. My sister-in-law suggests that the bully seemed about 8Read More years old and probably shouldn't have been left at Storyville to begin with. There is no ID system at Storyville for childs age. 2. The bully caused various kinds of mayhem. Knocking down things, shouting, etc. No one from the library is actually in Storyville so there was no disciplinary action taken such as removing the child. 3. Parents should not view Storyville as a babysitter and not be allowed to congregate in the waiting area, leaving their children to play alone. 4. Items that could be used to cause serious injury should be removed from Storyville. 5. Cameras. If an 8 year old hits a 3 year old at Storyville where parents are suppose to be watching their children, I want proof for a court case. Yes, it's a shame it can't just be a pleasant place to take your kids but it isn't. It is filled with unrully children and uninterested parents. A child SHOULD NEVER leave a library with two bruises across his face EVER.
