2 Perry Hall Home Burglaries After Weekend Rash

Police are increasing patrols in impacted neighborhoods.

Police responded to two home burglaries, one early Thursday morning and the other Tuesday morning in Perry Hall. Investigators said they believe one is related to a this past weekend, and the other is related to a double-burglary in January.

At about 3:45 a.m. March 29, on the 9000 block of Sunni Shade Court, a home's alarm system went off and residents heard someone in the home. Several police officers responded and searched the area.

Police said they believe someone entered the home, but fled after the alarm went off, according to Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct.

Based on the time and location, police said they believe it is connected to reported between March 22 and Marsh 25. Police released a on March 27.

Police described the suspect as a white male with brown hair, 24 to 25 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot and 150 to 160 pounds.

In a separate incident, at about 10:25 a.m. March 27, on the 4200 block of Mispillion Road, a man broke into a home through the rear basement door, police said.

A neighbor, hearing glass being broken, walked over to the home and knocked on the front door. The suspect told the neighbor he was a cousin of the homeowner, before leaving the house, according to a police report.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 50s, about 6-foot and 200 pounds, the police report showed.

Investigators said they believe the same man who broke into the Mispillion Road home may be connected to two daytime on Ramblebrook Road and Gardenia Road, according to Balog.

Investigators said they do not believe the March 27 incident is related to the rash of burglaries that took place over the weekend.

Police are increasing the presence of marked patrol vehicles in each of the impacted neighborhoods, Balog said.

He encouraged neighbors to be vigilant in watching for any suspicious activity and reminded residents to keep their doors and windows locked.

Bill, In my case there was a second person in the unmarked Contractors's Truck... This may of been a legit Contactor, but an unmarked Truck raised a flag... Quite often bad guys work in a team... One will keep your attention while the other one sneaks off to either case your house/property or just to enter & rob your house...
