A juvenile walking on a sidewalk along Silver Spring Road was chased into the woods by four men who got out of a gray sedan and threatened to steal his money, The Baltimore Sunreported.
The attempted robbery occurred at 12:50 a.m. Saturday south of Garland Avenue, according to the report.
Juveniles were robbed in separate incidents in White Marsh and Perry Hall in 2012 for their iPods, Perry Hall Patch reported at the time. Five teens were charged in those cases.
To prevent street robberies, police advise keeping cellphones and other electronic devices out of sight while walking, according to WBAL, which offered the tip during a rise in street robberies around Baltimore City and Baltimore County last summer.
