If you see Santa... tell him he has to come back to visit Southfield again. He skipped our street (Ashmill Ct) last night and there were over a dozen children and adults awaiting his arrival, we were all very disappointed that he skipped by us. =/

santa details have been going on for 2 weeks now..if you don't see your area listed it may of already been done..as far as a particular street getting skipped, sometimes streets accidently get passed over, but sometimes the equipment opts not to go down a particular street or court because it may be too narrow or cars may be parked in ways that would make it too risky to drive santa down..it's one thing to squeeze down a road for an emergency call, it's another to do it for santa..these details are very taxing to volunteer stations..they take 2-3 hours every night for the better part of 2 weeks in order to try to hit all the areas..this is in addition to having to do their everyday duties at the station ..for next year, if you have a particular street that is saturated with children, you can call the station that handles your area..they will usually make every attempt to come out and provide santa..just know that most times the fire trucks are capable of getting emergency calls in the middle of the santa detail..if after the call is over it has gotten too late, they will pack it up for the night..you may find this hard to believe, but every year people call and complain because they hate santa riding around their neighborhood making noise..
