The day before someone was shot outside The Harp restaurant by a pellet gun, police said there was a fight reported outside a nearby Wendy's.

However, "there is no indication that the two incidents are related," Corporal John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department said on March 6.

One person was shot multiple times by a pellet gun in front of The Harp restaurant on Feb. 16, Perry Hall Patch previously reported. That was a Sunday, and readers said there was additional criminal activity at the same shopping center the day before.

"I work across the street and there was a fight outside on Saturday night around 6," Keeley Brown said on the Perry Hall Patch Facebook page.

At 6:08 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the Wendy's in the 8700 block of Belair Road for a report of a fight, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Paramedics were called to the scene but nobody was taken to the hospital, Wachter said.

Several people were taken into custody related to the fight and were later released without charge, according to Wachter. Since nobody was charged in the fight, the report was expunged from the police system, which is why Patch did not report on it until now.

Brown provided eyewitness information about what happened in the parking lot that Saturday.

"I was parked in the Harp parking [lot] and as I was leaving to go home, two guys ran in front of my car, while I was driving, and started fighting," Brown said on the Perry Hall Facebook page. "I had to back up and had to circle around the opposite way and they somehow managed to end up in the middle of the road blocking all traffic. It makes me nervous knowing this is becoming a reoccurring problem."

The day after the fight, there was a pellet gun shooting reported in front of The Harp restaurant, also in the 8700 block of Belair Road at Perry Hall Crossing, at 11:15 p.m. Nobody was taken to the hospital in that incident either, and police said there are no suspects.

I wonder why I overheard the police say they were searching for a gun on SATURDAY, 2/15/14 around 6:30 pm? They are saying that this was just a fight on Saturday and no "gun" involvement until Sunday, albeit a pellet gun. I know what I overheard, which is why this event was so concerning to me.
