The culprits are believed to come by foot and cut through private property on Fox Hill Road. If anyone sees anything suspicious please call the police. Perry Hall used to be such a safe place to live. What happened? Neighbors need to look out for each other especially when our neighbors are elderly single individuals.

Does anyone know what house on Powder View was broken in to? I live on Powder View and am very concerned.

i second Miss Bowers comment, we have to be vigilant, watch out for each other Im sure you saw my comment about how I cought a man in my shed back in July? i chased hi as crazy as it was,,,,,,,,, I did just that,,,,,,,,,, he had parked his car o the next block, so he could run thru the yards with what ever he stole and should any one see him they wouldnt be able to get this tag (unless the pursued him like I did) Turned out, he was a heroin addict (according to his step dad)

The house was number 5 on Powder View Court from the January 4th report. Only two houses away from me. Last spring someone busted down the front door in broad daylight and stole jewelry from a house when no one was home.

I also live on Powder View and am very concerned; I am glad to have heard about it here, at least! But where are the reports about the mass robbery that occurred 2 nights ago at the White Marsh Ballys (now, LA Fitness), where 20 people were robbed - including my husband - while working out?? This area, it seems, is turning out not to be nearly as "safe" as it used to be!

Hi Neighbor! Thanks for the info. Does anyone think number 5 is being targeted because of two break ins? Are there any suspects? This has me very worried.
Tara January 12, 2012 at 03:58 PM
I didn't know anything about the robberies at Ballys. I was born and raised in the Perry Hall/White Marsh area when it was a safe place to live. Now I'm concerned about walking to my mailbox after dark! It's sad.

Robbery last spring on Powder View did not occur to house #5 - it was another house on the other side and down the street. Regardless, all of this is leaving me with a very uneasy feeling! And Tara - NO ONE has heard about the robberies at Ballys/LA Fitness because it wasn't reported anywhere (at least I haven't seen/heard it reported anywhere)! The only reason I know is because my husband was one of the victims and we've been dealing with the fallout now for 2 days (and counting). It's one of those things that I feel the community should be made aware of so that if anyone has any info, they may be able to help out. From what I understand, several other gyms were also hit on the same night within the same timeframe, so it appears to have been a coordinated effort. If the community isn't notified about these things, people aren't going to be more vigilant about paying attention to what's going on around them!

Sorry, I misunderstood and thought both break ins were number 5. Number 5 is the assisted living house. I agree with you that the community should be made aware of these crimes. I'm sorry that you and your husband were victimized.

Wow!! I lived on Powderview Court for 9 years before I lost my home to a major fire. It saddens me to hear that these crimes are taking place. I always felt safe in my home. I still live in the Perry Hall area, but I am shocked to hear of all these crimes all over the Perry Hall area. Things are getting bad out there people and we have to stand together and always look out for one another. Just glad no one has been hurt.
