UPDATE (Jan. 27, 10 a.m.)—The water main break at Forge Road was repaired at around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Gushing water near Forge Road and Perry Farms Drive disrupted traffic Friday evening in Perry Hall. The Baltimore City Department of Public Works confirmed that a water main had broken in that area.
It was one of many breaks reported in the city and in Baltimore County amid the Friday snow storm, according to public works spokesman Kurt Kocher.
While an inspector confirmed the break, repairs had not yet begun as of 8:30 p.m. The number of homes expected to temporarily lose water service during repairs was not immediately known, Kocher said.
Repairs are expected to begin late Friday or early Saturday, and drivers are urged to use caution in that area, he said.
