Members of , many themselves, donated several boxes of personal care items to the Loch Raven VA Community Living & Rehabilitation Center last month.
"We wanted to do something nice for veterans and something nice for people close to home, and know that what we were doing was directly impacting people locally," said Lisa Kennedy, director of the center.
Boxes contained hundreds of tooth paste containers, toothbrushes, deodorants, body washes and shaving creams that had been collected over the course of several weeks at the center. Al Packer's White Marsh Ford provided transportation for center members of deliver the items. They also donated a coffee pot and other supplies to the hospital, Kennedy said.
"The residents were fantastic. They really appreciated the little things, like the body washes, and just being visited," she said.
