YoTwist Frozen Yogurt and Treats is the latest addition to Perry Hall Square Shopping Center along Ebenezer Road.

On any given day, YoTwist Frozen Yogurt and Treats along Ebenezer Road offers about 12 different flavors of frozen yogurt and 45 toppings.

You do the math—that's a lot of choices.

YoTwist, which opened this month, is the latest business to fill a Perry Hall Square Shopping Center . A also recently launched in the center, and an and are planned.

"We thought that a yogurt shop was needed in this area. It's a healthier, non-fat option," said owner Mei Shi.

Shi said the shop has already enjoyed foot traffic from the adjacent bowling alley, nearby residents and after-school visits from and students.

"They say it's good," Shi said.

Customer Steven Kahl, 12, said his yogurt was "better than ice-cream," and he appreciated the shop's board game selection.

Beyond yogurt, the shop also offers fruit and boba tea-based smoothies with chewy tapioca starch balls at the bottom. Snow-yos, a mix of frozen yogurt and shaved ice, are also on the menu.

Things are looking up at the shoppling center. However, I'm concerned about the forthcoming Salvo Auto Parts. I, for one , DO NOT want to see Salvo customers jacking up their cars on the parking lot changing oil and doing brake jobs on their cars.
This occurs at the Fullerton Salvo. Kimco Realty MUST clamp down on the Salvo owners if this kind of activity starts to happen. Actually, I would think there would be a county ordinance banning working on cars on shopping center lots.

I went with my 5 yo daughter and we really liked it. I also like having a yogurt shop within walking distance to our house and the board games were a hit! I hope this place does well.

Nice place. Not as many yogurt options as nearby Yogi Castle, but plenty of toppings and more options for non-froyo fans (e.g. bubble tea). A nice location, near the YMCA, bowling alley and eateries like Charcoal Grill and Outback Steakhouse. And the Giant is moving to the old Superfresh location. Things are looking up for this shopping center.

On the money, Tom. This place should be a hit provided they take care of their customers. We'll have to check it out this weekend as "ice cream" is my one real vice from a sweets perspective.

These were my thoughts, exactly, when I heard Salvo's was coming to Perry Hall. I don't consider their presence to be a positive for the community. I think they are more of a last ditch effort to fill a retail vacancy. Does anybody really work on their own cars anymore?

BJ's is still there, on the other side of the yogurt shop.

I wish they would put a Walgreens in there. As it stands, I need to walk all the way to the west end of the shopping center for my pharmaceutical needs (those that the PH Alumni hanging outside the bowling alley can't fulfill).

We will have to give this new place a try. I love their neighbor's food...Asian Fustian.

There are soon to be 2 Walgreens within about 2 miles of that shopping center. Seriously?

Went there last night. Lots of flavors, but NO VANILLA?
Tried the sugar free chocolate (only kind of chocolate they had). Actually pretty good. But NO VANILLA?

This place is awesome. Used it a lot when my kid was 2-3. If I had another, I'd not hesitate to takeRead More him here. Then again, I watched my kid like a hawk - and you know, actually played WITH him - while we were there. As a result, my kid never came close to being injured by another unruly kid. Just saying.
Gregg Roberts April 25, 2013 at 06:55 am
My sister-in-law actually played with my nephew too Tim. Unlike EVERY OTHER single parent that wasRead More there. However, you can't tie your child to you. They came there to play. Bullies move very quick. When my nephew fell and was visibily scared, not a single parent except for one even noticed. Nobody from the library was in site. You are right that if parents were required to pay attention to their children then there would not be an opportunities for bullies because the parents of those bullies would be watching them also. When the group came from a religious school in Pikesville this is exactly what happened. All the parents stayed with their kids. All other parents, with little exception stayed in a waiting room talking amongst themselves paying little attention to their children. My nephew has been to all kinds of playgrounds and never been attacked by older kids before. Next time, if my nephew is attacked by an older child I will urge my brother to call the police and press charges against the parent. However, irreponsible Storyville need not worry -- won't be back there. Just wish our tax dollars weren't supporting this.

Let me put this in more practical terms. 1. My sister-in-law suggests that the bully seemed about 8Read More years old and probably shouldn't have been left at Storyville to begin with. There is no ID system at Storyville for childs age. 2. The bully caused various kinds of mayhem. Knocking down things, shouting, etc. No one from the library is actually in Storyville so there was no disciplinary action taken such as removing the child. 3. Parents should not view Storyville as a babysitter and not be allowed to congregate in the waiting area, leaving their children to play alone. 4. Items that could be used to cause serious injury should be removed from Storyville. 5. Cameras. If an 8 year old hits a 3 year old at Storyville where parents are suppose to be watching their children, I want proof for a court case. Yes, it's a shame it can't just be a pleasant place to take your kids but it isn't. It is filled with unrully children and uninterested parents. A child SHOULD NEVER leave a library with two bruises across his face EVER.
