Under new ownership, The Gunpowder Lodge is tucked away inside Gunpowder State Park and accessible by park trails. The front of the restaurant makes up the bar area with four large screen TV's and offers local, domestic and imported beers and wines as well as house mixed drinks. I have had most things on the menu here, and never disappointed. Monday is steak night... and you will get a hand cut NY strip, with two sides for around 7 dollars lass than Outback. The steak is tastier and the same size. If you eat steak once a week, do it there on Mondays.
The food is very good here. They always have interesting weekly specials, but beware, they often run out of them. I've ordered about half the stuff from their menu and I haven't been disappointed. Try the fish tacos! I would give them 5 stars but sometimes their service is very slow.
