Administrators at Joppa View Elementary School believe that all children can learn and master challenging academic material and respectful social skills. The school's tree-lined campus and colorful, larger-than-life crab sculpture near its entrance demonstrate the school's emphasis on play, nature and regional pride, as well.

Parents are encouraged to participate in their children's education through a number of volunteer opportunities, field trips and assemblies. Extracurricular activities and community service projects are also scheduled throughout the year.
