In spite of its nationwide brand, the Perry Hall Safeway is one of the most community-oriented grocery stores in town. It's not unusual for clerks, managers, staffers and stockers to greet regular customers by name. Customers are encouraged to chat with the butcher about the week's best cuts, or consult with the baker about the best bread to pair with a homemade soup. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The Perry Hall Safeway also features an in-house pharmacy and a Starbucks with available seating. A gas station adjacent to the store also offers Safeway Club card-holders a 3-cent discount off fuel.

Horrible customer service. Prices are way too high.

Low lighting - store seems dirty and dingy. No one EVER works the customer service desk and when I ask for help I feel like I am a bother. Been there at least ten times this year - all ten times had to ask for help at the service desk while the clerks looked at me and continued to ring people up. Go to Weis - they are always better!
