Some people can't handle their booze. Don't blame it on the bar. That's just as bad as taking McDonald's to court because you need people to carry you out of there too.

This place is great. If you are looking for a laid back place to drink a few and watch the game this is your place. Reasonable drink prices and to date I have liked the food. This is not upscale folks - some days you will get the smell of stale beer from the night before - so if you are looking for swanky - don't go here. But for me and the Mrs - this place is just right.

A) I stand by what I said about drink prices. I was charged 2 different prices for the same drink.
B) 17 years at Hammerjacks and a crowd of less than 25 people is an EVENT that excuses abysmal service?
C) The overall tenor of your response shows why a growing number of folks will never walk through the door of that establishment again. The ownership might want to take note...
D) Absolute irony is that I was probably the best tipper across the bar from you that evening. YOU LOSE!
E) The only reason there is one star in this review is that the system won't allow for NONE.
Hey PastitTom, This is the Bitch upstairs who rings in the correct prices that are posted big and bright so your dumb ass can see the prices. During shows and sometimes during happy hour downstairs, YOU ARE AT AN EVENT. Next time, say something, call a manager, ask me or maybe you were talking about Eva. We've both worked for this owner over the years and I go back to 1984 as a kid, working for him in his coatroom. Be careful who you accuse. I have no reason to be dishonest. 17 years at Hammerjacks under my belt. Bitch, really? Sure hope to meet you soon. Jill DeVille
Keep an eye on the b**ch at the upstairs bar. She charges whatever she feels like for drinks. Make sure you get the price up front. That's if she can even be bothered to wait on you!
My girlfriend came up there this weekend and was telling me how when she was at this place she only had one drink, she goes on to tell me that after this one drink she ended up collapsing onto the floor and needed to get helped to her feet. She went on to state that she felt her muscles has been relaxed by something. She said she felt like someone had drugged her and ever her friends said so to . We came to try to find a website for SURF CITY and we found this!!! MORE HORROR STORIES BELOW OF WOMAN WITH ODD DRUGGED UP EXPERIENCES AT THIS PLACE. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE??? WE ARE CONTACTING THE POLICE .. SOMETHING AT SURF SIDE ISN'T RIGHT... DO NOT DRINK HERE IF YOU ARE FEMALE AND ALONE.. THERE IS DANGER HERE
Surf City has great food prices and portions! The live entertainment is always new and as opposed to other posted comments, I have NEVER seen such activity there. A new refreshing Rock N Roll bar has fionally come to Perry Hall!
The place look very nice a good place to watch the game thank you Mike Nickel
Just curious as to why the person who posted above me would watch some girl be carried off by three men when she thought she had been drugged and would do nothing about it?
I can't say much about the food being served at Surf City, but something just isn't right. The past two times I have been to surf city, the young ladies serving "shooters" and selling beers have been so intoxicated that they had to be removed from the floor. I saw one young lady, who was selling beer, carried off by security because she could no longer stand. The whole situation seemed questionable. One minute she was fine and then I saw another Surf City employee hand her a "shot" and then the girl was on the floor. She was promply carried away by three security gaurds into a room. Something just wasn't right. Maybe they shouldn't let employees drink on the job or perhaps they are passing out date rape drugs. Either way, I wouldn't take a free anything from anyone that WORKS at this joint.

Nobody ever seems to go there anymore... LOL
