Okay if you see anything I say I usually apologize and also say when I'm Wrong .Various other…Read More posters know this as a fact.It is IMPORTANT to me that Right Now a few hours after NTSB has come out with findings THOSE experts who basically told me I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about come forward .Seems to me if as the TV announcer says the NTSB findings put accident squarely on back of CSX and lack of maintenance to site as cause of accident.Since everyone clearly pointed out my lack of knowledge of any laws or rules and went on to quote thier reasonsto prove me wrong .Please tell me where you got your information? The only people backing me are the NTSB. Maybe The other kevin might know what he is talking about? Think MAYBE posts that Steve and others attacked me as not knowing what I was talking about might have a teeny weenie lack of Credibility? No because I misspell or sometimes use poor punctuation. Now since all you experts maybe you might want to take the fact for instance that NPGC should have a new RFP to include compensation for Branding rights developer will gain building on property that both Federal and State grants have set aside money to promote in 2014 battle of North Point? I say throw away bids KK let community involvement design RFP.You Should Only sell building leave ALL park land alone. If they want they should also include a police substation in the HEART of Dundalk?

While I'm on this and since I was just shut right down me being so incompetent there is another way…Read More to make sure or eliminate these kind of future mishaps but I'm sure me being the other kevin would be wasting any readers time ,but I'll say it anyway . If they put a speed hump at all these crossings witha clear line of sight from hump Driver would have to stop or slow down .Now clear line of sight implies that CSX or Amtrack would keep area pruned so driver stopping would see either to go or not.See signs obviously can be damaged vandalized etc but a simple speed hump would MAKE a driver stop.

Isn't that what always happens? Once something does happen, there will be a huge overreaction in an…Read More attempt to make up for not acting at all for so long and the overreaction will be inappropriate and solve nothing. I find it amusing that cops have all the time in the world to sit around hiding waiting to bust people for driving safely, but they can't be bothered to show up when they are actually needed for something important. Why can't there be a few cops patrolling these areas during problem times? Why do residents have to harass the cops for weeks just to get them to do anything? Maybe because they don't feel like it? Also, the school should be held responsible for what it's students are doing. This way, the school can't just shrug the responsibility off onto the residents who shouldn't have to shoulder it and the cops who don't feel like doing anything until they are harassed into it. There's no money in it, that's the problem. The school can also contact the parents of the problem kids and then something can be done at home. All this transference of responsibility just ensures nothing productive will be done. If the school starts being held responsible for the behavior of the kids that go there, whether or not they are on school property or not (they are there for school, no other reason), then things will change in a hurry. No one wants to take responsibility for *anything* these days, so nothing gets done and what does get done solves absolutely nothing.
Mike Fisher April 28, 2013 at 09:50 am
If it was me, I would just park somewhere that I didn't have to pay for parking, perhaps Perry Hall…Read More Square if I had to or on some side street. Kids aren't stupid, they are clever and sneaky and will find a way around this. It's an empty solution that solves nothing except that it punishes everyone parking there for the actions of a few students. Those students will just do these things elsewhere or do a better job at staying out of sight and not getting caught. Hey, I have an idea, why don't you try LOWERING the permit parking price to $20 to make it more affordable for high school students to park on campus. Schools should be more responsible for their students. If someone held a carnival or something and people were damaging someone else's property or otherwise causing a disturbance, wouldn't it be the carnival's responsibility to handle the problem and take steps to stop their customers from doing these things? Why are schools just completely immune? Schools should be responsible for things like this and I guarantee it would stop, but we live in a world where responsibility and accountability are non-existent and even worse, it's accepted. Blaaah! Come up with solutions that make sense for once, can't anyone do that anymore these days?
Mike Fisher April 28, 2013 at 10:03 am
So to me, all this sounds like is residents taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen to *them*…Read More anymore and instead, it happens to other people. It's just more transference, redirect the problem to someone else's doorstep so long as it doesn't affect me anymore. Why not think of solutions that stop the problem completely, for anyone, anywhere in the surrounding area? Lower the permit price and I bet the students that do pay to park on campus are the ones who aren't causing the problems. The ones who are won't want to be on school property during these times and it would most likely make it easier to isolate the problem students from the ones who aren't doing anything wrong. If these residents instead put pressure on the school and law enforcement to do something about this, something would get done. Simply petitioning to move the problem somewhere else solves nothing ultimately. You're just pushing it off on other people.
