Perry Hall Royal Farms to Break Ground in July

The 5,000-square-foot store could be finished by December 2012.

A new Royal Farms store could break ground in Perry Hall by July, County Councilman David Marks confirmed on Thursday. Marks said he has been in contact with David Donato, vice president of the Commercial Division at Continental Realty Corporation, which manages the property slated for the new convenience store. The lot, located in the Brick Bodies Shopping Center along the 9600 block of Belair Road, formerly housed a BP gas station. Marks said the expected 5,000-square-foot Royal Farms will feature at least eight fuel pumps. I wish there was a Panera Bread in the shopping center where Outback is.....It would be great with lots of parking and we wouldn't have to drive so far and wrestle with parking at the Towson store or the traffic at White Marsh......it would also give employees of the shopping center another choice for their lunch/dinner....Charcoal Deli and Village sub closed....how about Subway? Is a Royal Farms Coming to Perry Hall?

A leasing company representative said the convenience store is expected to replace the Belair Road BP station.

For weeks, the fate of the former BP station, along the 9600 block of Belair Road, was a mystery. "We didn't know it was closing until the day of," said Kristen Green, director of Celebree Learning Center, across the parking lot from the stripped gas station. Business owners have speculated about its replacement. "We've heard that it's going to be a Royal Farms or the new Gino's," Green said.  If a Royal Farms came to Perry Hall, would you shop there?
