$10K in Cash and Jewelry Stolen From Perry Hall Home

Police say the burglary last week on Richlyn Drive appears isolated.

The investigation into a Perry Hall home burglary last week in ongoing, Baltimore County police said. Between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 23, in the 9800 block of Richlyn Drive, a side door was forced open and multiple rooms in the home were ransacked, according to a police report. The homeowner reported that more than $10,000 in cash and jewelry was stolen in the burglary, the report showed. Police said the incident appears isolated and is likely not related to other recent home burglaries in the Perry Hall area.

Police Search For Suspected Perry Hall Copper Burglar

Police responded to the 8800 block of Dove Drive Friday afternoon.

Witnesses reported a man running from a vacant home with stolen property Friday afternoon in Perry Hall, Baltimore County police said.  At about 2:13 p.m., in the 8800 block of Dove Drive, a man broke into a home through a basement door and cut copper piping to a water heater. The man then ran away with the copper piping along the tree line toward Honeygo Boulevard, according to Julia Hardgrove, a county police spokeswoman.  Witnesses described the man as a white male in his early 20s, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans, Hardgrove said. Several patrol officers, a unit of police dogs and a police helicopter responded to the area, she said, but they were unable to locate the suspect.  No further details on the incident …

Two Perry Hall Home Break-Ins Under Investigation

Police are looking into any possible connections between a burglary and attempted burglar last week.

Two Perry Hall home burglaries between Jan. 12 and Jan. 19 remain under investigation, Baltimore County police said. Between midnight on Jan. 12 and 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 19, in the 4300 block of Piney Park Road, the glass portion of a basement door to a vacant home was broken. The deadbolt, however, prevented anyone from entering the home, a police report shows.  Between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, in the 4300 block of Penn Avenue, the glass portion of a basement door was broken and a person entered the home and ransacked rooms. About $1,500 in cash and $800 in jewelry were stolen, according to a police report. The incidents occurred about 2.5 miles apart, and both involved breaking glass on a basement door. UPDATE: Scrap Metal, Fixtures Stolen From Fullerton Yard

Burglaries were reported in the 8100 block of Belair Road twice within the same week.

UPDATE (3:19 p.m., Jan. 18)—Police are investigating two theft incidents in the South Perry Hall and Fullerton area, near White Marsh Boulevard.  Between 11 a.m. on Jan. 10 and 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 11, in the 8100 block of BelairRoad, 90 feet of metal mesh fencing, valued at $300, and five metal posts, valued at $30 each, were stolen from a yard, a police report shows. Between 2 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 16, in the same lot in the 8100 block of Belair Road, a padlock, 70 pounds of a yellow link chain, 11 copper tractor radiators, 20 gaskets and a water irrigation pipe, valued at a total of $2,355, were stolen from the yard, a second police report shows.  Police urge residents and business owners to report any suspicious people or …

Saws, Drill Stolen From Kingsville Home

Police are investigating the break-in between Jan. 14 and Jan. 15.

Multiple power tools were stolen during a Kingsville burglary, police said. Between 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 15, in the 12000 block of Philadelphia Road, someone forced open the side door to a home and stole a Dewalt Sawzall, circular saw, a miter saw and a power drill, a police report shows. The total property loss represented about $1,200, according to the report.  Police urge community members to report any suspicious people or vehicles in their neighborhood.

So many will tell you though that crime is down! Stop reading into the fear! Well, when there are a multitude of break ins in new areas, that is an increase of crime in YOUR area, regardless of what the overall numbers say. Window Broken, Purse Snatched From Kingsville Home

Police are investigating the Sunday morning burglary on Wesley Woods Court.

A burglar smashed the window of a Kingsville home to reach a purse, police said.  At about 6 a.m. on Jan. 6, in the unit block of Wesley Woods Court, a homeowner heard a crashing sound. The homeowner later found that a window in the rear dining room had been shattered to create a large enough hole to reach in and remove a purse from a dining room chair, Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct said.  The investigation into the burglary is ongoing, and does not appear to be part of a larger trend, Dorsey said.

3 Perry Hall, White Marsh Home Burglaries Reported

Police are investigating any possible connections involving the incidents between Dec. 10 and Dec. 25.

Police are continuing to investigate three home burglaries in the Perry Hall and White Marsh area. Any possible connections between the incidents remain unknown, police said.  Perry Hall Gunforge Road, 9800 block. Between 12 a.m. Dec. 10 and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 19. By standing on a trash can, a person attempted to pry open a window screen and broke part of the window. Another window screen was torn and a basement storm door was propped open. Nothing was taken from the home, but damage totaled about $1,000, according to a police report.  Plumer Avenue, 4300 block. Between noon and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 21. A person broke a window next to the front door of the home, put a dog in a back room and stole a Samsung Galaxy tablet, an iPod Touch, an iPod dock…

How else are people going to help Sandy or should people just guess? I didn't see any info stating which house it was. A "block" is rather large set of numbers. The more details the more chances something with trigger a memory. Perhaps you would prefer they don't mention it at all and say tough luck? End of story. What does that do? Safe Stolen Through Roof in Bill's Seafood Heist

Longtime Perry Hall business owner Bill Paulshock is offering a reward for information about the burglary.

The investigation into a burglary at Bill's Seafood in Perry Hall is ongoing, police said. Between 10 p.m. on Dec. 16 and 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 17, in the 9000 block of Belair Road, someone pried open a roof vent and entered Bill's Seafood. A safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash was then stolen, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville precinct.  Longtime Perry Hall business owner Bill Paulshock said he has already added increased security to the area, and police are reviewing video footage and property damage. UPDATE: 2 Kingsville Homes Broken Into Monday

Police are investigating possible connections between Monday daytime home burglaries on Bradshaw Road and Batterbrook Court.

UPDATE (10 a.m., Dec. 5)—Police responded to two daytime burglaries on Monday in Kingsville. Between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, in the 7500 block of Bradshaw Road, a tool was used to force open a rear garage door. A bedroom was ransacked and items were spread out on a bed. Cash and two credit cards were stolen. Someone then exited the home using the front door, according to the White Marsh police precinct. The homeowner returned to find the front door slightly open. It had been locked earlier in the day, a police report showed.  The second incident was reported about two miles away. Almost all of the burglaries and thefts from vehicles are taking place during the day when folks are not home or away from vehicles. COP usually patrols at night. We need watchful eyes during the day too. Also, the thefts are happening when someone posing as a salesperson knocks on a door and gets no answer. Then the criminals go to the back or side of your home and break in.   more ›
