Make family time count during the busy holiday season.
This time of year gets incredibly busy for my family. The school semester is wrapping up, work projects all involve year-end activities, holiday shopping is in full force and social calendars are packed with holiday parties. But isn't this really the time of year when we should be slowing down a little and spending quality time with our families? This year, I am trying to schedule special family nights. Believe it or not, it's better than any gift you could put under the tree. My kids love family time, more than any toy in our playroom—although it doesn't always sound like it when my older boy is throws a fit in Target when I won't buy him something.
