Journal Entries Result in Eight Burglary Charges

Police say a 22-year-old Lutherville woman wrote about the Parkville and Cockeysville homes she allegedly burglarized.

For some, a journal is a place to keep their secrets but one Lutherville woman's journal entries resulted in eight burglary charges. Emily Kearns, 22, of the unit block of Elphin Court, is charged with a series of nine burglaries that span areas in both Cockeysville and Parkville precincts. Kearns was arrested on Dec. 4 when detectives, who were keeping her under surveillance, saw her break into a home in the unit block of Country Club Lane and attempt to break into a home in the unit block of Greentree Drive in the Phoenix area, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Woman in Gunpowder Forest Possible Assault Victim

A police helicopter assisted in locating a woman, between Glen Arm, Perry Hall and Kingsville, late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

  Police said they are investigating a reported sexual assault that may have occurred late Tuesday night in the Gunpowder Falls State Park. A 21-year-old woman called police after she said she awakened inside the woods, near Camp Cone Road in Glen Arm, at about 11 p.m. May 29. For about two hours, police officers and a helicopter assisted the woman in navigating the woods, until she arrived at the 11700 block of Belair Road, near the Perry Hall-Kingsville line, according to Detective Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokesperson. The woman told police that she had met a friend earlier that evening for drinks at Gunpowder Lodge, in the 10000 block of Belair Road. She then walked with the friend into the woods.
