Take a closer look at life in Perry Hall.

Christopher Dolon proves you don't need a finely manicured golf course to work on your swing. Dolon, a youth pastor at Hunt Valley Church and a graduate of Perry Hall Christian School, recently brought his club out to the Gunpowder Falls State Park. The outing was part of a mentoring program he is involved in—and he was sure not to leave any golf balls in or around the river, Dolon said. What's your favorite thing to do down by the river? My son played for the PHHS golf team and never got to use that . The team had to drive long distances to practice on a course. What a waste of our tax money.   more ›

Reasons to Wear a Life Preserver

A close call on the Gunpowder River illustrates the sense in suiting up.

There’s no good argument anymore for not wearing a helmet when you ride a motorcycle. The notion that a human being’s hair flowing in the breeze on the open road represents some sort of romantic freedom pales in comparison to the notion of rattled skulls and squished brains. The same goes for seat belts. You wear your seatbelt, right? Because if you don’t, and you get in an accident, you can get tossed from the car.
