The Maryland winner, who will receive $250, will now be entered to win the $5,000 grand prize in Patch's Best Halloween Costume in America contest.

You know what they say—no (goblin) guts, no glory. Congratulations to Dan Jarkiewicz, the Maryland winner of Patch’s Best Halloween Costume in America Contest. Hundreds of adults and children from across Maryland entered the contest.  Just here in Perry Hall, we had a Baltimore County school zone speed camera, a Kenmore washing machine, a Wii remote, a large-headed baby, and many more to choose from—but the Perry Hall pirate family, complete with a pirate ship golf cart and little pink buccaneer, won us over. As the winner of the $250 prize for the best costume in Maryland, Dan Jarkiewicz is now in the running to be the $5,000 grand prize winner of Patch's Best Halloween Costume in America contest. It doesn’t matter if you’re Lady Gaga or Lady Liberty for Halloween—if you have an awesome costume, showcase your creation in our Best Halloween Costume in America Contest. Last year, the headless boy from Wyckoff, NJ, won. This year, it could be you. Enter our contest for a chance to win the $5,000 grand prize! Adults and children are eligible to enter.
