Rescue Workers Clear Hammerman Area; No One in Need of Rescue

Dive teams searched the Hammerman area of Gunpowder State Park after receiving unconfirmed reports of a child in need of rescue from the water.

UPDATED (6:10 p.m.)—Baltimore County police and fire rescue workers have cleared the Hammerman Area beach of Gunpowder State Park after determining that no one in need of rescue was in the water, according to Baltimore County Public Safety spokeswoman Elise Armacost. First responders had gathered at the Chase beach after receiving unconfirmed reports that a child was in need of rescue.
