Coach: 'Perry Hall May Never Have Another Joe Glos'
Perry Hall's former soccer standout plans to play for UMBC in the fall.
Perry Hall High School soccer coach Danny Skelton approached Joe Glos before the Gators’ 2009 matchup with highly-ranked Calvert Hall. He told his star forward he was relying on him to "carry the team through." As he often did during major games, Glos responded by scoring two goals and assisting on another as he led the Gators to a dominant 5-2 victory against the talented Cardinals, at that point ranked the fourth-best team in the state. "He’s without a doubt a big game player," Skelton said. "He did that kind of stuff a lot in big games. He always seemed to rise to the occasion." Yet, it wasn’t just big games where Glos shined.
