Video games and a controller were stolen.
Two Xbox 360 games and one Xbox 360 controller were stolen out of an unlocked Perry Hall home last week, a Baltimore County police incident summary shows. A 52-year-old woman told police that her son's games and controller were stolen on March 7, sometime between 7 and 11 p.m. in the 5000 block of Clifford Road. The culprit stole the games and controller—valued at $110 and $60, respectively—out of the victim's bedroom. No further information is known at this time. The incidents between June 13 and June 20 may be seasonally related, police said.
Four recent home burglaries have shaken Perry Hall neighborhoods—but do not reflect an overall rate increase in crime and may be seasonally related, police said. At about 8:30 a.m. on June 20, an attempted home burglary was reported in the 8900 block of Whitetail Court. The suspect, a male in a "red hoodie," ran from the scene after he was startled by a resident, Patch reported. Between 4:30 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. on June 18, a home burglary was reported in the unit block of Shawn Court, according to a police report. A glass side door was busted and $5,000 in jewelry was taken from a bedroom. Police made two arrests near White Marsh Boulevard and Interstate 95.
UPDATE (12:55 p.m.)—Shortly after a home burglary was reported in Perry Hall on Wednesday afternoon, police arrested two suspects. Nelson Artez Ellis, 44, of Parkville, and Charles Lewis Billinger, 61, of Baltimore, were each charged with burglary and related offenses, officials said. At about 12:15 p.m. in the 5100 block of Forge Haven Drive, a home's rear window screen was cut and several electronics were stolen, including a flat-screen television, a Sony PlayStation, an Amazon Kindle and two iPods, according to Lt. Ron Brooks of the White Marsh police precinct. Neighbors provided police with a description of a white van seen in the area during the burglary. Catch up on the biggest news from the week.
It was a busy news week here in Perry Hall. It started with an apartment fire on Sunday. But at almost the exact same time that night, there was a hit-and-run on Seven Courts. More home burglaries were reported and residents noticed a helicopter flying around, following leads on possible suspects. There was a bank robbery, which is somewhat unusual for the Kingsville area. Perry Hall High School asked for the public's help in finding missing class photos. A Perry Hall mom protested abortion.
