Pet Letter to Santa: Wyatt Dreams of a Home

Animals at the Baltimore Humane Society want families this holiday season.

This is the fourth pet letter to Santa featured on Patch this week. The Baltimore Humane Society supports lost and abandoned animals in our region. It is up to us to support their life-saving efforts, so they can continue to help some of the most vulnerable members of our community. There are many ways to help the homeless animals at the Baltimore Humane Society.

This is the third of four pet letters to Santa that will be featured on Patch this week. Check back tomorrow for more. Recommend this article on Facebook or post it on Twitter to help spread the word about homeless pets. The Baltimore Humane Society is situated on a beautiful park-like property in Reisterstown. If you can't adopt or foster a homeless pet, you can still help by volunteering your time. The dogs love to walk the grounds and doing so helps them to cope with life in the kennels. Many of the cats welcome a comfy lap or a good back rub. Why not pay them a visit and make their day? They might just make yours too. As we gather in our homes and celebrate the joys of the season, consider expanding your family with a four-legged friend.

The community's response to last week's column, Letters to Santa from Homeless Pets, was overwhelming! Thank you so much, readers, for recommending the story on Facebook, making comments and spreading the word about Peepers, Trixie and other animals hoping to be adopted by loving families. In this season of giving, there are many opportunities to benefit the less fortunate. The Baltimore Humane Society is a non-profit , no-kill animal shelter serving Baltimore County and the surrounding area. Like many shelters, it depends on the generosity of the community it serves. If you cannot personally provide a home for an animal, please consider giving the gift of support. Monetary donations, as well as volunteer time, can greatly enrich and …
