Express Toll Lane Closures Planned This Weekend on I-95

Northbound lanes will be temporarily closed early Saturday morning in the White Marsh area.

State officials announced closures this weekend on Interstate 95, part of the ongoing express toll lane constuction project. All northbound lanes will be closed at White Marsh Boulevard from midnight to 8 a.m. Saturday. Drivers will be detoured via eastbount White Marsh Boulevard to Philadelphia Road, then back onto northbound I-95. Two southbound lanes of I-95 will also be temporarily closed at White Marsh Boulevard. The toll lane project is expected to be completed in 2014, according to the press release. I-695, 1-95, White Marsh Lane Closures In February

Watch for nighttime lane closures this month in White Marsh.

Lane closures are expected to disrupt nighttime traffic in the White Marsh area this month.  Weather permitting, the closures are scheduled between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., each night and morning between Feb. 11 and Feb. 14, and between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21. During those times, all lanes of westbound Interstate 695 (Outer Loop) at Interstate 95 (Exit 33) will be completely closed. The detour route will direct drivers to northbound I-95, to westbound Maryland Route 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard), to southbound I-95, to westbound I-695 (Exit 64), Maryland Transportation Authority officials announced.  The work is part of the ongoing I-95 Express Toll Lanes Project.  The White Marsh portion of the project carries a $142.6 million price tag …

Jan. 27: Overnight White Marsh Boulevard Ramp Closure

Watch for a detour on the Interstate 95 ramp, Sunday night into Monday morning.

Night work is expected to disrupt traffic in the White Marsh area late Sunday night into Monday morning. Weather permitting, between 10 p.m. on Jan. 27 and 5 a.m. on Jan. 28, Exit 67B from southbound Interstate 95 to westbound Maryland Route 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) will be temporarily closed, Maryland Transportation Authority officials announced.  A detour will direct drivers to eastbound MD Route 43 (Exit  67A), to eastbound MD 7, to westbound MD 43.  The work is part of the ongoing I-95 Express Toll Lanes Project.  The White Marsh portion of the project carries a $142.6 million price tag and is expected to create 400 new jobs. Jan. 4-6: Ramp Closure at I-95, White Marsh Boulevard

Starting this year, westbound Maryland Route 43 will include a new left turn lane and left exit to southbound Interstate 95.

The new year is bringing some major traffic changes to Interstate 95 and White Marsh Boulevard, thanks to the ongoing I-95 Express Toll Lanes project.  Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 6, the ramp from northbound I-95 to westbound MD Route 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard) will close. Traffic will be detoured to eastbound MD Route 43 to (Exit 67A, White Marsh Boulevard) to eastbound Maryland Route 7 (Philadelphia Road) to westbound MD Route 43, according to announcement by the Maryland Transportation Authority.  The new traffic pattern—which includes the addition of a left turn lane on westbound Maryland Route 43 and new left exits toward I-95—is expected to take effect on Jan. 4, the release stated. Additionally, I don't think the toll lanes will cost so much that you can't afford to ride in them -- I bet one less night out at a restaurant and you can afford the toll lanes for a whole month!   more ›

New Traffic Pattern at I-95, White Marsh Boulevard

Starting in 2013, westbound Maryland Route 43 will include a new left turn lane and left exit to southbound Interstate 95.

The new year is bringing a major traffic change to Interstate 95 and White Marsh Boulevard, thanks to the ongoing I-95 Express Toll Lanes project.  The new traffic pattern—which includes the addition of a left turn lane on westbound Maryland Route 43 and new left exits toward I-95—is expected to take effect on or around Jan. 4, according to roadside signs and an announcement by the Maryland Transportation Authority.  Previously, all traffic from MD Route 43, also called White Marsh Boulevard, to I-95 exited on the right. If you're coming from honeygo & get on the ramp to go 95S you have to yield TWICE. Police: Man Jumps From Overpass Into I-95 Construction

Emergency crews responded at about 9 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

A man was injured after jumping from an overpass into a construction zone on Interstate 95 Thursday morning. The unidentified man jumped from the ramp carrying traffic from southbound I-95 toward the inner loop of Interstate 695 toward Essex at about 9 a.m., according to Baltimore County police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher. The man was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with multiple injuries, Rogers-Feher said. The man's condition was not immediately known, and police had no further details.

I used to use 95 a lot but don't like to use it with all the constuction and the larger tolls for the tunnels. There used to be a large space betwwen 95 and White Marsh but now there is very little space making it louder and ( I hope it never happens) if there is a bad accident a good possibility of someone being hurt walking to their car on a parking lot.
