Perry Hall Mini Golf Soft Opening Date Announced

Find out when you, your friends and your family can hit the links again at the former ParTee Golf course.

The former ParTee Golf putt-putt course is reopening this week under a new name and new management, according to a post on Facebook.  The new Perry Hall Mini Golf, located at 4123 E. Joppa Road, has scheduled a soft open for Tuesday April 2. The former ParTee Golf location closed down after seven years in business.  More information can be found on the Perry Hall Mini Golf Facebook page. The post promises reduced rates during the soft open while management "get the course in shape!"  The new owners are also looking to fill a few positions: team members and shift managers who "must be able to work nights and weekends," according to the course's Facebook page.  Interested parties should fax their résumé to (410) 256-6803, attention Craig.  …

New Light Planned East of Perry Hall Middle

Baltimore County approved the new lighting in response to public safety concerns.

A new street light is planned east of Perry Hall Middle School, County Councilman David Marks announced.  Baltimore County approved the installation near 4218 East Joppa Rd.—an area where vandalism was recently reported on utility boxes and where children often use recreational fields.  According to Marks, the gap between street lights in that area was more than double its "optimal spacing" of 200 feet, with approximately 445 feet between lights near the Smith Avenue and Yvonne Avenue intersections.  The light will be added to an existing utility pole by Baltimore Gas and Electric Company at no cost to the county.  "This is an area frequented by many children and their parents who use the recreation fields at Perry Hall Middle and …

This is an excellent idea. I try to be extremely cautious when driving through there as I'm sure most of us do, however, once in a while a child will peek out suddenly and startle me. I know they are just trying to see what's coming. So many people park in the shopping center for games and it's a dangerous crossing there.   more ›

Police: 3 Garage Burglaries in Perry Hall, Kingsville

Police are investigating garage burglaries on Joppa Road and Cedar Lane.

Garages attached or near two Perry Hall homes and one Kingsville home were broken into this week. Between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on July 3, a garage in the 4200 block of Joppa Road was broken into, boxes were rummaged through and two vehicles were rummaged through. Nothing was taken, according to a police report. During the same time, in the same block, a person entered another garage and stole a bicycle, according to another police report. Sometime between July 2 and July 3, a person entered an unlocked garage near a Kingsville home and rummaged through two vehicles, a third police report showed. Police are investigating each of the incidents and urge area residents to keep their garages and homes locked whenever possible. It is unknown if the…

This is way out of hand. First off, this is continuing to happen and the residents are not being made aware (except here). I have not heard one report on the news about the amount of breakins, i have also talked to several neighbors who had no idea any of this was going on. Something needs to be done. Juveniles Attempt Break-In Near Joppa, Silver Spring

A helicopter and K-9 unit responded to a burglary shortly after 7 p.m. on Jan. 10, police said.

Police, aided by a helicopter and K-9 unit, swarmed a Perry Hall neighborhood near Joppa and Silver Spring roads Tuesday evening after a reported burglary, police said. Shortly after 7 p.m., a homeowner on the unit block of Spring Creek Way reported that three juveniles had attempted to cut open a side window screen, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct. There was no entry and nothing was taken, Dorsey said. A police helicopter and dogs assisted with the search for suspects, but no one was found or arrested, he said.
