Man Accused of Theft From Perry Hall Car

Police credit concerned area residents with a man's arrest early Thursday morning.

Police arrested a man early Thursday morning after residents of a Perry Hall neighborhood reported suspicious behavior, Baltimore County police said. At about 1:44 a.m. on Jan. 17, in the 3900 block of Link Avenue, area residents called 911 after seeing a suspicious person. Police arrived and found a man looking into cars, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct.  The man was unable to explain why he was in the area and police found several personal items, including multiple pairs of sunglasses, a camera and jewelry, in his backpack, Dorsey said. Really ? So its our fault if somebody takes something that's not theirs ? I guess women shouldn't walk any where "unescorted " either, or its her fault if something terrible happens to her ?...Come on quit blaming the victims, and put some teeth in the punishment part of the criminal system. Perry Hall Crime: Jewelry Stolen, Car Theft

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Dawn Drive, 9400 block. Between Sept. 6 and Sept. 12. A homeowner discovered that jewelry and other items—worth a total of about $840—had been stolen. The home was locked and there were no signs of forced entry. Police are investigating possible suspects.  Link Avenue, 3800 block. Between 12 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sept. 8. A 1995 red Acura Integra with the Maryland tag 045AHK was stolen from the street. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct asked residents to lock their car doors and not to store spare keys inside of vehicles.
