Fifty state troopers teamed up with a child in need on a shopping venture at the Walmart in Rosedale.
Maryland State Police troopers with the Golden Ring Barrack helped 50 Baltimore County kids shop for a better Christmas Saturday morning. Troopers paired up with the children, drove them to Walmart, located at 6420 Petrie Way in Rosedale, and helped them buy some of the things they've been asking for this holiday season. Each child was given a $100.00 gift card, donated by Walmart and private sources.

Winning the championship game is one thing—backing it with a perfect season is just one more reason to celebrate. Perry Hall's 9-10 rec boys basketball team finished the season with 14 wins on Tuesday night. "It was a perfect end to an amazing season," Shellie Holthaus, wife of coach Len Holthaus, wrote in an email to Patch. "[The coach] said he could not be more proud of these boys and all that they accomplished this season ... he was on cloud 9," she wrote. Lakoda Rayne was voted off the televised talent competition after five weeks of live performances.
After five weeks of live performances, Perry Hall singer Paige Elizabeth Ogle was eliminated from THE X FACTOR on FOX Wednesday night. Ogle is part of the four-girl country pop group Lakoda Rayne that had been vying for a $5 million recording contract through the competition.
