Kingsville Accident Hospitalizes Man, Shears Off Utility Pole
Southbound lanes of Belair Road remained closed past 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Nearly two and a half hours after a single-vehicle accident in Kingsville, southbound lanes of Belair Road near Mt. Vista Road remained closed. At about 7:07 a.m. on Saturday, a silver Honda Accord struck and "sheared off" a utility pole and turned on its side near the intersection of Belair Road and Mt. Vista Road, according to Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department. The driver received serious but not life threatening injuries and was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital Center. The investigation, clean-up of the broken utility pole and closure of southbound lanes of Belair Road continued past 9:30 a.m., Wachter said. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, he said.

I have to agree with that. I can't tell you how many times I've almost been hit by southbound Bel Air traffic while waiting to make a left onto Mt. Vista.   more ›
