Perry Hall Citizen of the Year Draws Laughs, Nostalgia
After several decades of community service, Jerry and Pat Soukup were honored as the 2011 Perry Hall Citizens of the Year.
Jerry Soukup, longtime president of the Perry Hall Recreation Council, is comfortable in front of a crowd. Jerry, 83, and his wife, Pat, 81, were honored by the Perry Hall Improvement Association on Feb. 9 with the Perry Hall Citizens of the Year Award. As a boy growing up within walking distance to football, baseball, and basketball and then as a parent of 3 kids playing sports in Perry Hall I really appreciate all the time and energy both of you put forth for myself, my 7 siblings and my own kids.
