Twenty-year-old David Johnathan Scherr was last seen in a Ravens shirt with white plaid shorts.
A University of Maryland student has been missing since Dec. 19, according to officials, and police are hoping the public can help them find the college student. David Johnathan Scherr, 20, a Pikesville native, was last seen on campus in College Park at 2 p.m. in a Ravens shirt and white plaid shorts. Police said he may have been driving a black 2013 Ford Escape with Maryland tags 3AX4875. PGPD Cpl. Maria McKinney said today that no new information is available and did not respond to whether or not foul play was involved. Russell Berk of Perry Hall plans to serve on the Baltimore County Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board.
At 55, Russell Berk has spent his life working in agriculture and the sale of farm goods. Now, the owner of Chapel Hills Farm & Nursery on Chapel Road in Perry Hall will get to share his expertise related to countywide preservation issues. On Nov. 5, the Baltimore County Council unanimously approved Berk's nomination to serve on the Baltimore County Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board, which advises and evaluates agricultural districts and the approval of easement purchases by the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation, County Councilman David Marks announced. Baltimore County police identified Earl Badu as the man who jumped from I-695 Thursday.
Earl Badu, 33, a member of the University of Maryland’s 2002 basketball national championship team, has been indentified as the man who died Thursday after jumping from Interstate 695 into a construction area on Interstate 95 near Perry Hall. Baltimore County police identified Badu as the jumper in an email on Saturday. According to University of Maryland’s athletic site, Badu was a member of the school’s 2002 National Championship team after walking onto the squad in the fall of 1998. Badu, a graduate of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, died from his injuries at Bay View Medical Center. According to electronic court records, Badu, who listed a PO Box in Bethesda as his address, was convicted of passing a bad check on Sept. 21.

A low of 67 degrees and mostly clear skies—Perry Hall's weather between midnight and the early dawn hours of Aug. 12 is well suited for the annual Perseid meteor shower. According to NASA: Each year in August, the Earth passes through a cloud of the comet's debris. These bits of ice and dust—most over 1,000 years old—burn up in the Earth's atmosphere to create one of the best meteor showers of the year. So where in Perry Hall is the best place to watch?
