Someone spray-painted the camera orange, while also defacing a nearby road.
A vandal spray-painted the Seven Courts speed camera over the weekend, Perry Hall residents reported. It is the second time since Sept. 2012 that the camera has been vandalized. The majority of cars stolen were left running and unlocked.
Police are warning Perry Hall residents of a recent spate of car thefts in the area of Dunfield/Belmont in Nottingham, according to Ofc. Mark Dorsey. Police have begun using an auto-dialer system to alert residents to at least six car thefts in the last month, Dorsey said. Investigators believe there is enough evidence to support that the thefts are related. The majority of the cars stolen were left running, unlocked in the early hours of the morning. Dorsey speculated that residents could've been warming up their cars before work. The six thefts date back as far as Feb. 21. Four of the six cars stolen were recovered by police, Dorsey said. Two Perry Hall residents were the victims of an exceptionally costly home burglary last week, with the total cost of the stolen cash and valuables estimated to be about $37,000. A burglar broke the rear window to the victims' home in the 9600 block of Redwing Drive sometime between 10 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on March 19, according to Baltimore County police report. The culprit ransacked the victims' bedroom, before leaving through the front door taking $30,500 cash, Louis Vuiton purses and wallets, liquor bottles, Sony Vaio laptops and red wine bottles. An 18-year-old Parkville man thought he was going over to a friend's house "just to hang out [Sunday] evening," according to a police report. When he arrived in Perry Hall however, his night, or rather, early morning took a darker turn. The man was jumped by three males between the ages of 17 and 19 near the intersection of Cottington Road and Yvonne Avenue in Perry Hall sometime before 3:06 a.m. on March 24. The attackers stole the man's wallet, car keys and driver's license, according to the report. UPDATE (April 3)—Three of the four suspects have been arrested, according to online court documents. Belair Road, 9700 block. Between 4 p.m. Mar. 16 and 1 p.m. Mar. 18. A laptop computer was stolen from Craig's Calculation Corp. Burglars got inside without using force. Fullerton Belair Road, 8200 block. Between 10:30 p.m. Mar. 16 and 1:25 a.m. Mar. 17. Three lawnmowers, valued at a total of $1,327, were stolen from Value Equipment. The lawn mowers stolen were all yellow Cub Cadets with model numbers CC500, CC500ES and CC999ES, the report states. A burglar got into the business by removing a lock from the front door.

It is the second time the Rite Aid has been robbed since late 2011.
Baltimore County police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Perry Hall Rite Aid early Sunday evening. An unidentified man wearing a ski mask, gloves and brown hooded-sweatshirt robbed the Rite Aid in the 9700 block of Belair Road at about 5:25 p.m., Ofc. Mark Dorsey said. Sunday's incident marks the second time the Rite Aid has been robbed since 2011. Read: Police said the thief entered into the convenience shop and demanded money from the clerk. No weapon was used in commission of the purported robbery, Dorsey said. The clerk obliged, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash. Dorsey said the culprit fled in an unknown direction. Video games and a controller were stolen.
Two Xbox 360 games and one Xbox 360 controller were stolen out of an unlocked Perry Hall home last week, a Baltimore County police incident summary shows. A 52-year-old woman told police that her son's games and controller were stolen on March 7, sometime between 7 and 11 p.m. in the 5000 block of Clifford Road. The culprit stole the games and controller—valued at $110 and $60, respectively—out of the victim's bedroom. No further information is known at this time. A Nintendo Wii, Xbox controllers, Xbox games, cash and a wallet were stolen from a home. Burglars got inside through an unlocked sliding glass door. Hines Road, 9000 block. Between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Mar. 4. A laptop was stolen from a home. Burglars got inside through a garage, damaging two doors in the process.

The incident occurred Monday morning outside the Weis in Honeygo Village Shopping Center.
A woman's purse was stolen in an unarmed robbery outside a Perry Hall grocery store Monday morning. The victim, an 84-year-old woman, was getting a grocery cart outside the Weis store in Honeygo Village Shopping Center, at 9400 Scott Moore Way, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her purse off her shoulder and ran, according to a police report. The suspect is described in the report as a white man, approximately 5-foot-6, last seen wearing a cream-colored hoodie with gray spots.
