As Public Funding Wanes, Bank Donates $20K to Perry Hall Stadium

The Perry Hall High School Athletic Boosters Club is hoping other businesses follow Rosedale Federal Savings and Loan Association's lead.

Tony Taylor is well aware of Baltimore County's budget restrictions, but that shouldn't stand in the way of improvements at Perry Hall High School, he said. As president of Perry Hall High School's Athletic Boosters Club, Taylor is leading an effort to gain support from local businesses to help renovate the school's football stadium and replace the scoreboard. "Perry Hall needs changes. It needs to be updated. It needs another addition ... By funding athletic projects through donations, we hope to take some of the pressure off of the county, so they can focus on those endeavors," Taylor said. I use to bank with Rosedale and changed because I wanted to deposit and cash a payroll check from BCPS and was $2.50 short in covering it in my savings account. They would only deposit all of the check and not let me have any of it for 3 days. I had been a long time customer (over 10 years) with them. All I can say is thank goodness they have a heart for the school.   more ›
