It was originally planned for either Friday, Aug. 31 or Saturday, Sept. 1. Perry Hall Shooting Victim's Friends Call for Lady Gaga

Daniel Borowy, who was critically injured on Monday, is a Lady Gaga fan, friends say.

Daniel Borowy, the 17-year-old student who was struck by a bullet inside Perry Hall High School on Monday, remained in critical condition Tuesday, police said. The teenager was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma with a gunshot wound in his lower back after 15-year-old Robert Gladden Jr. allegedly opened fire in the school's cafeteria, according to Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson. Principal: 'Sense of Normalcy' to Return to Perry Hall High

Principal George Roberts held a press conference Tuesday morning.

Perry Hall High School was returning to a "sense of normalcy" Tuesday morning, less than 24 hours after a student-involved shooting left one 17-year-old student critically injured, Principal George Roberts told reporters. Standing in a wooded area between the school and Ebenezer Road, Roberts said staff members were careful to ensure the school day was "very structured." To facilitate the "healing process," Roberts said trauma counselors were available for students and staff and that a community meeting would likely be held in the coming week. Most students, he said, were back in class and for the most part, instructors were teaching lessons. Roberts said information on attendance was not yet available. Plans to hold regular classes on …

Students say it was Jesse Wasmer, a guidance counselor at Perry Hall High School, who intervened during a shooting in the school's cafeteria.

Students and social media are reporting that Jesse Wasmer, a Perry Hall High School guidance counselor, intervened after a 15-year-old student reportedly shot another student in the school's cafeteria Monday morning. "I turned around and the kid's got a gun, and Mr. Wasmer, one of the counselors, pushes him up against a vending machine and then he shot one more off," Ryan Brady, a student who witnessed the shooting, told Patch. Wasmer declined to comment when contacted by Patch. A Facebook page has been created to thank Wasmer. At 4:30 p.m. Monday it had nearly 950 fans.
