Retail Center in Development on Campbell Blvd

The property was rezoned to mimic the shopping center across the street in White Marsh.

"Any info on what is going in across from Target on Campbell Blvd.?" "Quick question for you! Do you have any idea what KINSLEY is building across from Target on Campbell Boulevard & Franklin Square Drive?" "I see there starting to do some field work across from Target and Dicks on Campbell Blvd. Do you know if they are about to development the land or what there doing with it???" You asked. So we did a little digging. The property along Campbell Boulevard, near Franklin Square Drive is currently being developed for a retail space similar in scope to the lot across the street that features a Target, Lowes and Panera Bread. A representative from developer Corporate Office Properties Trust did not immediately return calls seeking comment, …

Visions for Vacancies: What Should Move Into Regester Square?

Tell us what businesses you'd like to see come to Perry Hall once redevelopment of the strip shopping center is complete.

Now that we have some idea as to what's happening to the crumbling strip shopping center on Belair Road, we can finally ask the question: Who should move in? The property owner initially said he was be bringing back Seasons Pizza, which anchored the old Regester Square shopping center. Today, however, we discovered that he plans for all new tenants to move in. When specifically that will happen remains a question, but the bulldozers are ready, so we're told. So let's hear it. What kind of businesses would you like to see occupy the space when redevelopment is complete? What kind of shops or stores does Perry Hall lack? Voice your opinion in the comments section below. >>> Keep up with all Perry Hall, White Marsh and Kingsville news by …

Perry Hall Strip Shopping Center Cited By County; Demolition Delayed

The Regester Square shopping strip at 8833 Belair Road was deemed an unsafe structure by county inspectors.

The former Poor Little Rich Girl bridal shop isn't the only crumbling structure on Belair Road with a delayed demolition date. The Regester Square shopping center at 8833 Belair Road was slated for demolition earlier this year although the plan submitted to county did not meet stormwater management requirements, according to Councilman David Marks. "I'm as frustrated as everyone else," Mark said. "I drive by the structure every day and want it to be redeveloped.  I've placed one or two calls a week to the developer and am trying to move this process along." Read: Demolition, Rebuild Planned for Perry Hall Shopping Center Property owner John Mazarakis said he submitted a revised demolition proposal to the county Friday. He said all that is …

Thank you for continuing to apply pressure to get the demolition done! It's bizarre to see a store I used to frequent in such a dangerous state. They need to finish the job before kids get hurt.   more ›

Elegant Moments Going Out of Business

The Perry Hall bridal boutique and formal wear shop is closing down.

Belair Road is a tough stretch for bridal shops. Elegant Moments has announced, via a black and white, that the shop is going out of business. Everything must go, the sign reads, with a bold red line underling the word "Go." An Elegant Moments representative could not be reached for comment. The shop's amended hours are Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bungalow-style business front on Belair Road is the second formal wear shop to shutter its doors in the Downtown Perry Hall area. The first was the well-chronicled move of Poor Little Rich Girl. Elegant Moments has been in business in the Perry Hall area since 1998. The shop maintained an impressive 4.5 out of 5 rating on weddingwire.com. Will you …

White Marsh Parkour Gym Preps for American Ninja Warrior Tryouts

Watch Patch videos of Alternate Routes gym members preparing for Friday's preliminary contest at Rash Field.

White Marsh will be well-represented come Friday when hundreds of would-be American ninjas descend on the Inner Harbor for a chance to become warriors. The television series American Ninja Warrior will be filming tryouts beginning at 8 p.m. at Baltimore's Rash Field park. Tony Torres and his brother Edwin Torres, owners of Alternate Routes gym in White Marsh, believe they are ready. "It's redemption," Edwin, a 27-year-old White Marsh resident, said. The brothers Torres have twice competed in the preliminary trials for American Ninja Warrior—a competition that pits ridiculously fit men and women against a series of man-made obstacles that test physical strength, muscular endurance, balance and unyielding focus. Competitors are timed as they…
