CHART: What's Perry Hall Spending This Holiday Season?

With Christmas around the corner, it's the most wonderful (and expensive) time of the year. Compared to 2011, the National Retail Federation is forecasting a 4.1 percent increase in holiday retail spending.  But will Perry Hall shoppers follow suit? Not even spending that much. No COLA for three years, increased insurance premiums, increased Maryland taxes, high prices for everything else, and sitting on the edge of the fiscal cliff where our taxes will go up much more than $2000, means we aren't spending much for Christmas. We didn't last year either. I don't miss it. It really makes the holidays much less stressful.   more ›
