UPDATE (9 a.m., May 11)—Apparently, Perry Hall's only Irish pub is also a great place to bring mom. Readers chose The Harp at 8706 Belair Rd. as the best place for a local Mother's Day brunch. Here's what the restaurant is offering between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Sunday: eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, seafood souffle, french toast with pecan glaze, bacon, sausage, homemade has browns, slow roasted beef, chicken pesto pasta, veggie pasta, kids dishes, fresh fruit, salads, breakfast breads and dessert. There's also a made-to-order omelet station, Bloody Marys and mimosas. Brunch is priced at $18.95 for adults and $8.99 for children. Mike Wolf Tax Service at 8441 Belair Rd. came in second with six votes. Since its founding six years years ago, David-James has expanded from two CPAs, David Brulinski and James Hamilton, to a staff of more than 20. The firm focuses on health care accounting and consulting, and provides tax services to government, businesses and individuals. Brian Bunce Barbers at 8905 Belair Rd. in the Perry Hall Square Shopping Center. With TVs at every cutting station and a special fire truck chair for the littlest customers, owner Brian Bunce said he has tailored his business specifically to kids. "We also hire people who are patient with kids," Bunce said. "Kids will stick with you. You could cut their hair for a long time—20 years."
