Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct on Wednesday released a weekly crime report of major incidents to government and community officials and media. Find the full report in the media gallery above. Reports are being released as part of a new community outreach effort. Balog announced the following with the report: The Community Outreach Sergeant at White Marsh, Sgt. Angie Mickle, and I have put together a community and business email tree so we can release weekly crime and crime prevention material to those who live and work in the White Marsh Precinct area. Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct on Monday released a weekly crime report of major incidents to government and community officials and media. Find the full reports in the media gallery above. These include the third and fourth report released by Balog as part of a new community outreach effort. Balog announced the following with the report: We are sending this information to the community and businesses in White Marsh for their information. We will be sending this weekly by way of an “email tree.” This sharing of this crime information is meant to keep residents and businesses informed as to crime in their area. A Baltimore man was shot and killed during the early hours of Saturday morning, near the White Marsh area in Rosedale.
UPDATE (8:30 p.m.)—A Parkville man has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting a man in the Rosedale area early Saturday morning, police announced Saturday night. Maurice Garnett White, 32, of the 8500 block of Dempster Court has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center with his bail denied, according to a news release. Police do not expect to make any additional arrests at this time. White's bail review is scheduled for Tuesday, the news release stated. Shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday, police and fire personnel responded to the unit block of Maidstone Court in Rosedale after a shooting was reported, according to Cpl. Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct on Tuesday released a weekly crime report of major incidents to government and community officials and media. This is the second week that Balog has released the report, as part of a new community outreach effort. "This sharing of this crime information is meant to keep residents and businesses informed as to crime in their area. This does not include all crime in [the precinct].
