New Perry Hall Royal Farms Celebrating With Food, Donations

The grand opening of the 9620 Belair Rd. location is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The Perry Hall Royal Farms opened on Dec. 21, but its official ribbon cutting is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 8. Inside the store at 9620 Belair Rd., free coffee and soft drinks will be served before the 10 a.m. ceremony. Company president John Kemp will then lead a ribbon cutting, followed by donations to community organizations, Royal Farms announced.  Free samples of chicken, wraps and other foods will follow at around 10:20 a.m., according to the company.  Area residents and members of the business community are invited to attend.  The 5,000-square-foot store broke ground in July 2012 and features eight fuel pumps. "I get a cup of coffee from Royal Farms everyday driving to work in Timonium. Now I can stop in Perry Hall," he said.  Yates said the store looks much better than the old BP station, and he hopes the competition will further drive down gas prices at the Safeway gas station across Belair Road.  "I'm wondering what will happen to the 7-Eleven across the street. Royal Farms has …

LOVE that Royal Farm is right around the corner. I know there are lots of gas stations on Bel Air road but most are on the opposite side of the road. In rush hour traffic, it's not much fun trying to make a left across traffic. Plus there's a light at royal farm :) so you can go either direction easily!!!! And I agree with everyone who said their chicken is yummy- another plus!!!!!   more ›
