CCBC Dundalk Offers Free Dental Sealant Program

Children ages 6 to 18 are invited to receive treatment that will help prevent tooth decay.

Children ages 6 to 18 are encouraged to take advantage of a free service being offered by The Community College of Baltimore County. In cooperation with the Maryland Dental Hygienists Association, the college will offer "Sealant Saturday" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 9. Participating children will receive the application of a clear, colorless protective coating on their permanent molar teeth. The coating will help prevent tooth decay, according to a statement from the college. The event will be held at the Dental Arts Building (Building D) on the Dundalk campus of CCBC, 7200 Sollers Point Road. The program is free, but appointments are required. CCBC Named One of Baltimore Region's Top Workplaces

The Community College of Baltimore County is in the No. 5 spot on the Baltimore Sun's Top 10 Large Workplaces list published Sunday.

The Community College of Baltimore County has been named one of the region's top large companies by employees who participated in a Baltimore Sun survey. The Sun on Sunday published lists of the top large, midsize and small companies in the Baltimore region. CCBC snagged the fifth spot in the top 10 large companies, based upon employee feedback. The paper also named the region's top 20 midsize companies and the top 50 small workplaces. "I feel privileged to be among the 80 companies recognized as a Top Workplace in the Baltimore region," CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis said in a statement. “Earning this recognition is a testament to the great work our college does to foster student success."
