A traffic detour is expected Sunday night on White Marsh Boulevard.
Roadwork as part of the I-95 Express Toll Lanes project is expected to close a ramp Sunday night into Monday morning. According to a Maryland Transportation Authority alert released Thursday afternoon: Sunday, Sept. 23, and Monday, Sept. 24, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramp from eastbound MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) to southbound I-95 will be temporarily closed for night work. Traffic will be detoured to northbound I-95, to westbound MD 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard), to southbound I-95. The White Marsh portion of the project carries a $142.6 million price tag and is expected to create 400 new jobs. Watch for new traffic patterns in the White Marsh area this week.
Construction, along with potential delays and detours, continues on the I-95 Express Toll Lanes project. Two temporary ramps have been installed northbound Interstate 95 to westbound MD 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard), and southbound I-95 to eastbound MD 43 (Exit 67A, White Marsh Boulevard), according to a Maryland Transportation Authority release. A grand reopening celebration is planned for June 13.
The Nottingham Walmart off White Marsh Boulevard plans to show off its renovated space during its grand reopening Wednesday morning, company officials announced. The Walmart at 8118 Perry Hills Ct. has become a Super Walmart. It now offers a wider selection of groceries, a bakery, a deli, meat and dairy products and fresh produce. It also includes expanded merchandise departments, a pharmacy, a vision center, digital photo processing center and Walmart Connect Center, featuring cell phone products. I used to use 95 a lot but don't like to use it with all the constuction and the larger tolls for the tunnels. There used to be a large space betwwen 95 and White Marsh but now there is very little space making it louder and ( I hope it never happens) if there is a bad accident a good possibility of someone being hurt walking to their car on a parking lot.
