  To JD1 - What does 'families selling off the family farm' have to do with the fact that an innocent boy was shot by the hand of a troubled youth? Someday I will beselling off the family farm in Perry Hall and although it may create more homes in the area it certainly won't be the cause of such tragedies.

  For those that own a few acres in Perry Hall and still want to be a winner they can hold on to the valuable resource that they have or they can wait until the next development boom. Perry Hall is not the same small town that I remember from the 50ies to the 80ies but development does happen, if not now then later. In the end it;s the land owner's right and decision.

  The culprits are believed to come by foot and cut through private property on Fox Hill Road. If anyone sees anything suspicious please call the police. Perry Hall used to be such a safe place to live. What happened? Neighbors need to look out for each other especially when our neighbors are elderly single individuals.

  Joyleen Farm , as named for Leo & Selma's daughters Joyce and Eileen, has been an operational farm in the Kahl family for over 100 years. The family looks forward to celebrating the 100th year anniversary of the farm in 2014 (which is the year the farm house was built for the young farmer, John Kahl and his bride Theresia Noppenberger). The oldest pictures that I have of the farm date back to the early 30's.
