Harford County Sheriffs Office Investigating Shooting in Joppa

JOPPA, MD - Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred at a traffic light on southbound I-95 to Maryland route 152. According to the Harford County Sheriffs Office, police were informed of a walk-in shooting victim at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center around 11:30 PM on Saturday. Detectives secured the scene, and officials from the Forensic Services Unit were able to collect evidence to support the investigation. Police have identified the victim as 18-year-old Kenneth Chibuzo Ejelonu.

Initial investigation has determined that "Ejelonu was in a car at the intersection, when an unknown subject pulled up in another vehicle, opening fire on Ejelonu's vehicle, striking it several times before driving off. 

The investigation has yet to name a suspect, and the motive also remains unknown. This story will be updated as more information is released.
