Angel Park Renovations Delayed Until Thursday
PERRY HALL - The ongoing renovations at Angel Park, initially scheduled for completion on September 9th, are now expected to finish on September 15th. Repairs were delayed due to weather conditions early this week.
Park maintenance staff is resurfacing the 15,000-square-foot playground due to high foot traffic; other changes include repairs to the popular zipline and a newly donated set of exercise bikes and ellipticals.
According to Angel Park officials, trespassing is another reason for the delay.
“Sadly, because we have had some trespassers, we have had to do some rework on the playground surface, which has unexpectedly caused the playground to remain closed a little longer.”
Rubber surfaces such as the one used at Angel Park typically take over 48 hours to cure before they can be used. Park officials request that all residents stay off the park surface until repairs are complete.
