Pine Grove Middle School Evacuated Due To Suspicious Package


Students at Pine Grove Middle School were evacuated around noon on Tuesday, Sept. 20th

According to Police, all students are safe, and they are investigating a suspicious package that was found in the area. 

The suspicious package was located in a vehicle parked in proximity to Pine Grove Middle and they have a person of interest in custody, according to police.

Residents near Pine Grove Middle reported a loud noise.

Police say the loud noise heard near Pine Grove Middle was a "proactive controlled measure to address the suspicious package."

According to police, all students from Pine Grove Middle have been safely bussed to Parkville High School, and reunited with their families.

Pine Grove Elementary school has also been evacuated, and all students from there have been brought to Loch Raven High School and reunified with their families.

Baltimore County Police are also evacuating the 1600 block of Whitehead Ct. in connection to this investigation. 

School buses at the following schools near Perry Hall were delayed on the 20th in connection to this investigation. Other buses were also delayed; for a full list see Baltimore County PD on Twitter.
