PERRY HALL - According to Baltimore County Public Schools, around 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, Perry Hall High School went into lockdown as police responded to an assault in the area behind the school.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that police chased suspects into the woods near the school and that helicopter and k9 units were involved.
Police said a student was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, and this incident remains under investigation.
This incident comes days after students and parents gathered at Perry Hall HS to protest safety at Baltimore County Public Schools. The protestors were reacting to a recent string of violence at area schools, including a student wielding a baseball bat to defend herself from bullies on September 28th.
