Woman Found Dead, Neighbor Displaced After Fire Ravages Home In White Marsh

WHITE MARSH - Baltimore County Fire Officials are investigating a fire that killed one woman and displaced another person Sunday morning in White Marsh.

According to officials, firefighters received reports of people trapped in a house with a fire raging around 4:00 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find a two-story townhouse engulfed in flames at Wolf Trap Court in White Marsh. By the time firefighters were on the scene, the fire had begun to spread to the neighboring homes. The blaze was upgraded to a two-alarm fire, mandating more personnel and equipment. Crews were able to contain the fire in under 30 minutes.

Firefighters entered the home to rescue the individuals trapped inside, finding one woman who had died inside the residence. The victim has not yet been identified as officials search for the next of kin.

The blaze caused smoke and fire damage to the two adjacent townhouses. One person was displaced and is being helped by the American Red Cross. The other home was vacant at the time of the fire.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire, according to authorities.
