PERRY HALL - A Perry Hall Highschool student who waited months for a transfer has finally been moved to a new school, WBFF/Project Baltimore reports.
Tiffany Moyd, the mother of a Perry Hall Highschool student, says she feared for her son’s safety at the school.
“There's absolutely no control over the kids. It's haywire at Perry Hall,” Moyd told Project Baltimore in November. “How can a child learn, and you got to worry about your safety or whether you're going to get jumped or banked or whatever the case may be? You can't learn that way. You can't.”
This fall, Perry Hall highschool was embroiled in a seemingly endless string of controversies. Guns were confiscated on campus, fights broke out, and parents protested.
Moyd says her son was caught up in the violence. Over the summer, she filed charges against students who she says attacked her son at the school.
According to Project Baltimore, Moyd filed the transfer paperwork on September 1, but by November, her son was still enrolled at Perry Hall. The process ended up taking Moyd over three months before her son was finally enrolled at Loch Raven High School.
