PERRY HALL - A construction worker was injured on Monday in a steamroller accident near Seven Courts Drive at Hoban Court (21236) as roads were being resurfaced.

Around 11:15 a.m. on Monday, January 9, a paving contractor was to resurface areas of Seven Courts Drive and Gunview Road affected by a new water main when they were hit by one of the steamrollers. The worker was transported to a local hospital in an ambulance.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks confirmed the accident and said the injured employee is expected to recover.

“I spoke to a representative of the contracting company that is resurfacing Seven Courts Drive,” Councilman Marks wrote in another Facebook post. “The injured employee is not in critical condition and is expected to recover.”

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has halted the repaving project pending an investigation, according to officials.
