Weis Markets Donates $65,000 To Children's Cancer Foundation In Perry Hall

PERRY HALL - Anyone who tapped the “round-up for a donation” button at Weis grocery stores in December can rest easy knowing their money went towards doing good.

On Thursday, Weis Markets presented a $65,000 donation to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. The check was presented at the Weis Markets at 9400 Scott Moore Way in Perry Hall.

The funds were gathered through customer round-up donations at checkout in December and a corporate contribution.

CCF is an independent nonprofit committed to funding locally based researchers, programs, and facilities in Maryland, D.C., and Northern Virginia until “every child is assured a healthy future.”

Children’s Cancer Foundation is one of several beneficiaries of Weis Markets’ in-store round-up campaign for regional children’s hospitals and pediatric cancer foundations throughout the company’s seven-state market area.
